UPSEE Counselling 2018: AKTU/UPTU Counselling, Process & Schedule

UPSEE Counselling 2018: AKTU has started the registration and choice filling for UPSEE 2018 Counselling Round 3. The candidates can check their allotment status after submitting their UPSEE 2018 Roll Number and Password. The AKTU Counselling 2018 fee will be INR 20000 (INR 12000 for SC/ST Category). It will be adjusted at the time of admission with the college fee. After each round, the seat allotment result of UPSEE 2018 will be announced.

Once the seat is allotted to the candidate, no change in the Institution/ branch is admissible. The number of colleges, courses and seats may increase or decrease up to the counselling dates. Uttar Pradesh Govt. reserves 15% of the total sanctioned seats in Private Institutions for management quota and NRI candidates.

 UPSEE Counselling Procedure 2018

The counselling of UPSEE 2018 has the following steps. Candidates need to follow each of the steps in their respective order to successfully complete the procedure.
Step 1 – Registration, Document uploading & Payment of counselling fee
Step 2 – Document verification
Step 3 – Filling of choices
Step 4 – Seat allotment result
Step 5 – SEat Confirmation or Online willingness by the candidates

Step 6 – Physical Reporting at the college  (at the end of the third round by all candidates allotted seats)

UPSEE 2018 Counselling User Manual

Step 1 – Registration, document uploading  & Payment of counselling fee: Candidates will have to register by using their UPSEE 2018 application number and password. Once registered, candidates will be required to pay the specified counselling fee in online mode via debit card/ credit card or net banking. They are also required to upload the requisite documents as specified.

Step 2 – Document verification: Candidates will have to upload the necessary documents and get them verified. The file size must be 200 KB while uploading. The list of documents is given below.

  • UPSEE Admit Card 2018
  • UPSEE Rank Card 2018
  • Class XII Certificate & marks sheet
  • Rural weightage certificate if applicable
  • Domicile certificate
  • Domicile certificate of his/ her parents (Father OR Mother) if the candidate has passed qualifying examination from outside of U.P
  • Character certificate
  • Certificate of Medical Fitness/ Undertaking of Medical Fitness
  • Domicile certificate, if applicable.
  • Category certificate for OBC/SC/ST, if applicable
  • Subcategory certificate for Freedom fighters/Armed forces/ Physically handicapped as  applicable
  • Income certificate for economically weak candidates
  • GDDA category certificate, if applicable
  • Other Documents required (only if applicable)
  • After document verification, candidates will be given a One-time-password (OTP) to login for choice filling

Step 3 - Filling of choices: Candidates will have to fill in their choice of colleges and courses in the order of their priority during choice filling. Candidates must fill as many choices as possible.

Step 4 – Seat allotment result: On the basis of choice filling, merit list and available of seats, candidates will be awarded seat in the B.Tech programme.

Step 5 – Seat Confirmation or Online willingness by the candidates: In this step, candidates will have to select three options to confirm seat allotment -  Freeze, Float and Withdrawal. 

  • Freeze – Candidates can choose to freeze their seat allotted if they are satisfied.
  • Float – Candidates can hold on to the seat allotted and ask for upgradation in this case.
  • Withdrawal – Candidates can leave the seat allotted and can choos e to not participate in the further admission procedure.

Step 6 - Physical Reporting at the college: After all the three rounds are completed, all candidates who have been allotted seats, upgraded or otherwise must report to the allotted college with their documents to complete their admission formalities.

AKTU/UPTU Admission Procedure 2018

  • After completion of the counselling process, candidates will have to report at the allotted college with a provisional allotment letter.
  • Candidates also have to bring the remaining amount of fee & all relevant documents (Original & one set of self-attested photocopies).
  • It is compulsory to pay the remaining admission fee to confirm their seat & admission.
  • Otherwise, the seat will be allotted to another candidate.
  • Candidates, those allotted a seat & get admission in the allotted institution, the fee submitted by them during counselling, without any deduction will be adjusted against the Institution fee.

  • Domicile Certificate of Parents (If pass the qualifying exam outside of UP)
  • Character Certificate
