UPSEE Seat Allotment, Counselling, Fees and Admission

    All the qualified candidates have their names in merit lists will be required to attend UPSEE 2020 Counselling round. The counselling will be held in three rounds and two spot rounds. If the seats remain vacant in the first three rounds of counselling for that reason two extra spot rounds are conducted. UPSEE 2020 Counselling forms the basis for providing admission to Engineering programs. The candidates are called depending upon UPSEE Rank List.

    • Candidates are allotted seats on the basis of merit subject to the availability of seats in their category. Once the seat is allotted to the candidate, no change in the Institution/ branch is admissible. 
    • The number of colleges, courses and seats may increase or decrease up to the counselling dates. 
    • Uttar Pradesh Govt. reserves 15% of the total sanctioned seats in Private Institutions for management quota and NRI candidates.
    • Candidates can check their seat allotment result on the official website of UPSEE by using their registered credentials to log in.

    UPSEE Counselling registration and choice filling process for Round 1 will be starting in the third week of June 2020. Candidates who will be allotted in Round 2 counselling but are not satisfied with the seat allotment results will have the option to modify their choices for college and course and can participate in Round 3 of UPSEE 2020 Counselling.

    UPSEE Spot Counselling is conducted when seats remain vacant even after the last round of counselling. It is conducted in Offline mode where candidates have to report at the venue all with the required documents and a demand draft in favour of Finance Officer, AKTU Payable at Lucknow. At UPSEE Counselling Venue, candidate’s document verification is done, post which they are allotted seats in various courses on the basis of their ranks secured in the entrance examination. 

     Eligibility Criteria for Spot Counselling 

    In order to participate in UPSEE Spot Counseling 2020, Aspirants are required to fulfil the eligibility criteria given below:

    • Candidates who were not allotted seats in previous rounds of UPSEE Counselling.
    • Candidates who ere allotted seats but did not confirm their admission.
    • Candidates who secured a rank in UPSEE 2020 but could not participate in counselling due to unavoidable circumstances.

    The counselling of UPSEE 2020 has the following steps. Candidates need to follow each of the steps in their respective order to successfully complete the procedure.
    Step 1 – Registration, Document uploading & Payment of counselling fee
    Step 2 – Document verification
    Step 3 – Filling of choices
    Step 4 – Seat allotment result
    Step 5 – Seat Confirmation or Online willingness by the candidates

    Step 6 – Physical Reporting at the college  (at the end of the third round by all candidates allotted seats)

    UPSEE Counselling

    Step 1 – Registration, Document Uploading & Payment of Counselling Fee: Candidates will have to register by using their UPSEE 2020 application number and password. Once registered, candidates will be required to pay the specified counselling fee in online mode via debit card/ credit card or net banking. They are also required to upload the requisite documents as specified.

    Step 2 – Document Verification: Candidates will have to upload the necessary documents and get them verified. The file size must be 200 KB while uploading. The list of documents is given below.

    • UPSEE Admit Card 2020
    • UPSEE Rank Card 2020
    • Class XII Certificate & marks sheet
    • Rural weightage certificate if applicable
    • Domicile certificate
    • Domicile certificate of his/ her parents (Father OR Mother) if the candidate has passed the qualifying examination from outside of U.P
    • Character certificate
    • Certificate of Medical Fitness/ Undertaking of Medical Fitness
    • Domicile certificate, if applicable.
    • Category certificate for OBC/SC/ST, if applicable
    • Subcategory certificate for Freedom fighters/Armed forces/ Physically handicapped as  applicable
    • Income certificate for economically weak candidates
    • GDDA category certificate, if applicable
    • Other Documents required (only if applicable)
    • After document verification, candidates will be given a One-time-password (OTP) to login for choice filling

    Step 3 - Filling of choices: Candidates will have to fill in their choice of colleges and courses in the order of their priority during choice filling. Candidates must fill as many choices as possible.

    Step 4 – Seat allotment result: On the basis of choice filling, merit list and availability of seats, candidates will be awarded a seat in the B.Tech programme.

    Step 5 – Seat Confirmation or Online willingness by the candidates: In this step, candidates will have to select three options to confirm seat allotment -  Freeze, Float and Withdrawal. 

    • Freeze – Candidates can choose to freeze their seat allotted if they are satisfied.
    • Float – Candidates can hold on to the seat allotted and ask for upgradation in this case.
    • Withdrawal – Candidates can leave the seat allotted and can choose to not participate in the further admission procedure.

    Step 6 - Physical Reporting at the college: After all the three rounds are completed, all candidates who have been allotted seats, upgraded or otherwise must report to the allotted college with their documents to complete their admission formalities.

    • After completion of the counselling process, candidates will have to report at the allotted college with a provisional allotment letter.
    • Candidates also have to bring the remaining amount of fee & all relevant documents (Original & one set of self-attested photocopies).
    • It is compulsory to pay the remaining admission fee to confirm their seat & admission.
    • Otherwise, the seat will be allotted to another candidate.
    • Candidates, those allotted a seat & get admission in the allotted institution, the fee submitted by them during counselling, without any deduction will be adjusted against the Institution fee.

    • Domicile Certificate of Parents (If pass the qualifying exam outside of UP)

    Hi Mantasha, Counselling fee for General/OBC Category is INR 1300 and for Female/SC/ST/PwD Category is INR 650.
