- There is nothing in particular I don't dislike; I mean, no place is perfect, and we should learn to adapt and find peace where we are. As such, I have not encountered any bad experiences. So right now I don't have anything in the top of my head that recalls any bad memory or service regarding the college.
- Coming here and learning how to use all the it services like student mail, DIT website and ilearn could be a bit confusing.
- Finding the classes could be a bit trying and confusing too, as the campus is located in the city center, a corporate building, and the main campus. Navigating between them is fun when you are full of energy and the weather is nice, which in my experience never has been super good. HAHAH

- My university has the main campus, and then we have one or two floors in one ICT building, which is like an office space, and then one inside the city centre and one inside a big shopping mall. We have all the facilities available, like a library and sports facilities.
- In fact, the library is open 24/7, and we can visit it whenever we want, and during the exam period it’s open from 8 in the morning to 12 at night, which is very nice.
- Major festivals we have are NowFest, the beer festival, and Oktoberfest. We also have many clubs, like nightclubs, and we have ESN, which is the Erasmus club that helps connect newcomers. We have extracurricular activities happening almost every day.
Fees
- You pay 78 euros as a contribution fee, but from the academic year 2025/2026, you have to pay an additional 500 euros as a tuition fee or some other fee, as the government has changed the rule.
- The total is 578 euros. So now every non-EU student has to pay 578 euros each semester, which is far less than what you pay in India at a good private college.

- Located right next to the river Donau in Deggendorf makes for a calming atmosphere.
- Friendly and helpful staff and faculty members.
- Facilities like the library and cafeteria(Mensa) are very well maintained.
Dislikes
- Located in a small town/village, connectivity from other places might be an issue especially when there is bad weather.
- Language barrier is strong as this is a small town and not many people speak good English.
- Campus does not include a dedicated sports ground or a sports arena, even though there are plenty, but not just in the campus itself
Campus Life
- Our college has around 3 campuses, one in Deggendorf itself, one in Pfarrkirchen and one in Cham
- There is a library and a cafeteria called Mensa, which will give lunch and snack meals. It offers some movie screenings and wide range of sport activities as well, which are spread across the town.
- Our college organises frequent trips and treks to nearby towns and to the Bavarian Alps. There are multiple parties and fests organized throughout the year, with a lot of students participating in these
- There are sports such as tennis, football, basketball and swimming which are very popular here. There is also kayaking and the college has an official kayaking team. There is a student council which will take a stand regarding the problems of the students; they are very approachable and friendly regarding the issues faced by students.
- There are job fairs happening regularly as well where students can interact with the company representatives and find out about the job opportunities in those companies.
Fees
- So currently the fee per semester is 582 euros in total for international students and 82 euros for students from the EU. There will be a 60 euro application fee as well while putting in the application. This 82 or 582 euro fee will be charged every semester.
- Since in Germany universities do not have hostels, students have to arrange for their own accommodations and some student dorms will be recommended by the university itself. But getting into the university-recommended accommodation will be challenging due to the high competition; students would have plenty of other options as well.
- The average rent in Deggendorf would be around 350-400 (warm rent) on average, but there would be much cheaper and more expensive options as well. I personally landed a studio apartment whose rent was around 430 euros per month and usually the electricity, wifi and radio bills will be included within the warm rent. Make sure to check whether the rent you're paying is a "cold rent" or a "warm rent". "Cold rent" usually means the base rent, the rent without the electricity, wifi and water heating bills, and the "warm rent" includes all the above-mentioned bills.
- My monthly expense came up to 650-700 euros, with 430 being my rent, 145 being my health insurance amount, and around 20-25 euros being my weekly expense for groceries and other home utility stuff. It may vary for every individual so I would not want to estimate generally, but for me it would be this much. If there is a room with lesser rent, then the monthly expense would be reduced drastically.

Dislikes
- Accomodation is hard to find (problem everywhere in Germany). Dorm rooms are limited so most people stay in a rented room
- People who are used to rote learning and have forgot to use their brain in exams will not like the courses here.
- Little to no placement support
Campus Life
- Campus life is very lively. There are clubs for organising pub crawls, etc. Clubs are all for organising cultural events only, since projects are done under the supervision and funding of professors and are part of the curriculum. Library has books both in german and english. Sports facilities are readily available to students, including a swimming pool (although it is a bit far, around 30 min by bicycle).
- Regular playing sessions for badminton, football, etc. Research facilities are top-notch and well funded. We had a Tesla roadster in the lab when we were working on developing electric batteries for E-vehicles.

- DIT has three campuses: the main one in Deggendorf, another in Pfarrkirchen (called European Campus Rottal-Inn), and Campus Cham.
- The campus has good libraries, sports facilities, a cafeteria, and access to medical services.
- Some popular events are the Campus Fest, Summer Open-Air Festival, and DigiHealthDay.
- There are plenty of clubs, sports activities, and cultural events to join. Some of the sports are Summing,Table Tennis, Badminton, Football, Gym, Chess, salsa (dance). These activities make campus life fun and help students connect outside of class.

I chose this college while keeping in mind multiple factors like Course Curriculum, University Fee, Country, International exposure etc. My overall experience was good with respect to the course curriculum, practical experience, lab, professors, international exposure, and extracurricular activities.

Overview
The reason why I chose this is due to the interdisciplinary and industry-ready course structure. It has courses on state-of-the-art technologies like 3d printing, Autonomous driving, robotics and ARVR. Job perspective was also higher in this course and the course structure was only 3 semesters.
Campus Life
It's a bit complicated. My course is offered on two campuses. The main campus is good with good connectivity and opportunities. But the campus where I studied, called 'Cham' is a really small town and it's difficult to find an apartment or part-time jobs. It's a challenge living here. But coming to a foreign country is always a challenge.

- University management always takes initiatives so that students feel good and have a low stress level regarding their studies by organizing day trips and outdoor activities.
- University is relatively new but innovative, there are multiple research projects that are going on in the university in collaboration with many big german manufacturers.
- Modern Infrastructure and supportive staff that sums it up to a healthy and friendly environment.
Dislikes
- There is nothing that I find worse or not acceptable but there is no university which is perfect.
- Shortage of accommodation options and less frequency of public transport in some campuses made it inconvenient and a waste of time but could be solvable if some can travel with private means of transport.
Overview
I chose this college because of it's modern course curriculum, they provide variety of options to specialize and build career, easy to switch lines after bachelor via this course. The journey at DIT was like a roller coaster ride or I can say full of adventure which i enjoyed a lot over the time. Have learnt a lot of new things and developed myself for the modern industry with good knowledge of the latest technologies.

Full of adventures, university has 12 campuses and main campus is in Deggendorf, rest are in the nearby cities as per industry, research institute and relevant course requirements. Library is fully equipped, wifi facility is top, sports and other clubs are also active.

- I applied randomly for a lot of universities and particular courses among the one's I preferred. This University had so many courses I was eligible for.
- The classes and teachings. The extra curricular activities. Curriculum. Professors Student life balancing the studies and work. Not much pressure on studies rather they help mentally and gives positive responses for students.
Dislikes
- I don't dislike anything here. The only thing is the public transport here which runs few times. Other than that there is nothing wrong or anything to be disliked here.
Overview
The university is situated in ourskirts of the area and reaching there is a crucial task as public transport is only once in an hour. But you can have your private vehicle or cycle and get there easily because the whole area is small. The classes and the resources provided are very good and case studies help us get to know into subjects really good. The professors are really helpful and understanding and they help us in any way possible. All the students are extremely friendly and into activities and fun. Overall I would say the experience here is wonderful.
Campus Life
The campus is occupied with great atmosphere and has wifi all around. There are a lot of buildings within the area that constitutes libraries, canteen, class rooms and so on. There are a lot of events in most of the weeks like club parties, weekend hikes, canoeing, hackathons, and so on. The university sports are also famous. Students can take part in many programs both indoor and outdoor games. They also have championships and tournaments happening.
