AIIMS Delhi, GGSIPU to Develop Innovative Patient Grievance Redressal System; Check Details Here

New Delhi: All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) Delhi, and Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University (IPU) have collaborated for improving patient care through a 'patient grievance redressal system'.

The collaboration was executed through the exchange of an agreement between AIIMS, New Delhi and USAR (University School of Automation and Robotics) and USDI (University School of Design and Innovation) of Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University (GGSIPU).

Speaking on this occasion, AIIMS New Delhi Director M Srinivas said that, “The collaboration aims at enhancing transparency, accountability, and patient satisfaction within the healthcare domain”. 

Initially, the patient grievance redressal system will be implemented in the mother and child block of AIIMS New Delhi, with plans to extend its coverage to other departments, blocks, and centres across the institution in subsequent phases.

The collaborative efforts of both universities reflects their commitment to drive positive change in the public healthcare sector. The 'patient grievance redressal system' aims to comprehensively and promptly address patient concerns and feedback, Srinivas said. 

He further added that this initiative is noteworthy as it is the first-of-its kind, setting up a pioneering approach to patient care. This collaboration is anticipated to save a lump sum for AIIMS as it also includes the expertise and commitment of GGSIPU's faculty and students as well.
