Andhra Pradesh: Higher Education Academic Calendar Released for Academic Year 2020-21

Andhra Pradesh Higher Education has declared the academic calendar for the year 2020-21 for all the UG, PG, Professional and Non-Professional courses.

The Universities and affiliated colleges will be implementing the calendar from November 2, 2020. As per the Government of Andhra Pradesh, the calendar issued is prepared with the reference to UGC guidelines.

Salient features of the Academic Calendar

1. The Government of Andhra Pradesh has decided to resume all Higher Education institutions in the state from November 2, 2020, for the new academic session.
2. The Chairman of APSCHE presented the academic calendar keeping the UGC guidelines and revised SOPs of Ministry of Health & Family by the Government of India in mind. The UGC guidelines and revised SOP were issued in the month of September.
3. The Government has also approved the common Academic Calendar & guidelines to be followed for the commencement of Academic Year 2020 – 21 for State Universities and Colleges (UG/PG, Professional/Non-Professional), with the approval of the respective Statutory bodies of the concerned University. The details of the Academic Calendar and guidelines & Standard Operating Procedures (SoPs) for the commencement of Academic Year 2020-21 is annexed-I & II respectively.
4. The Secretary, APSCHE, Mangalagiri, Special Commissioner Collegiate Education, Vice Chancellors of all the State Universities shall take necessary action accordingly in the matter.
