Calcutta University Releases Updated LLB and LLM 2026 Admission Schedule; Check How to Apply

The University of Calcutta (CU) Faculty of Law has issued its updated law admission schedule for 2026. The revision covers the Bachelor of Laws (LLB) programme. It also covers the Master of Laws (LLM) programme. Both notices went live on August 14, 2026 at caluniv-ucsta.net.

Both entrance tests will use the Computer Based Test (CBT) mode. Candidates can view the notice, schedule, fee structure and seat matrix online. The application interface is hosted at admission.caluniv-ucsta.net.

How to Apply for CU LLB or LLM 2026?

The application process is fully online. Follow the steps below in order.

1. Open the LLB or LLM section on caluniv-ucsta.net based on your programme choice.
2. Click the registration link and create a login on the admission portal.
3. Generate your APAAR or ABC ID using the portal guide.
4. Fill the application form with your academic and personal details.
5. Upload the required documents in the specified format and size.
6. Pay the application fee online through the given payment gateway.
7. Download the acknowledgement slip and save a copy safely.

The Faculty of Law runs from Hazra Road in south Kolkata. It offers the five year integrated B.A. LL.B (Honours) programme. It also runs the two year LL.M programme. Admission depends on the CBT entrance tests conducted by the university.
