The Indian Institute of Technology Madras (IIT Madras) has issued revised GATE 2027 dates. The updated schedule is now live at gate2027.iitm.ac.in. GATE stands for the Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering.

Registration will begin on 27 August 2026. Candidates can apply without a late fee till 27 September 2026. The extended window with a late fee closes on 5 October 2026.

GATE 2027 will be held on six days in February 2027. The exam will use the computer-based test format. Scores will stay valid for three years from the result date.

2. Click on the GOAPS registration link.
3. Create your profile using a verified DigiLocker account.
4. Complete facial authentication as prompted by the portal.
5. Fill in academic, category and paper choice details.
6. Upload the required documents in the given format.
7. Pay the application fee through the online payment gateway.
8. Submit the form and download the confirmation page.
