New Delhi: The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has initiated the registration process for students in Class 9 and 11, who will be appearing for the CBSE Board Examination in the academic year 2024-25. To access the complete registration schedule, students can refer to the official website of the Board at cbse.nic.in or find the details here.

According to the CBSE schedule, the registration window for students in Classes 9 and 11 will be open from September 12 to October 12, 2023, without incurring any late fee. However, for those who miss this window, there is an extended period from October 13 to 25, 2023, during which they can still register, albeit with a late fee.

Students must complete their registration within the stipulated time frame to be eligible for the Class X and XII Board Examination 2024. Only those students whose names are submitted through the online registration process will be permitted to take the exams.

According to the official CBSE notice, All CBSE affiliated schools are required to register themselves before proceeding with online submission. Schools must use the 'Affiliation Number' as a user ID.

Moreover, the CBSE Board has urged schools to provide the full names of candidates, mothers, and fathers/guardians. The use of abbreviations is discouraged, as they may create future complications for students.

Instructions for CBSE Class 9, 11 Registration 2024

As per the CBSE Board, the school principals are required to follow the instructions when completing the registration process of class 9 and 11. 

  • Students must be their own regular and legitimate students.
  • All bona fide student names must be registered.
  • Students should be from authorized and affiliated schools.
  • Attendance of regular classes is mandatory.
  • Students should not be simultaneously registered with any other school education board besides CBSE.
  • Students are eligible for admission to classes 9 and 11 and will be taking CBSE board exams in 2024.
  • Class 11 students must have successfully completed all subjects in class 10 and received a passing declaration from the relevant board.
  • Students must have passed class 10 from a recognized board.
