CBSE Class 10: Social Science Sample Papers Released with Marking Scheme @cbseacademic.nic.in; Check Exam Pattern and Important Details Here

Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has released CBSE class 10 sample paper for social science, along with marking scheme. Students can download the year-wise sample papers from the official website- cbseacademic.nic.in.

CBSE Class 10 sample papers for social science contain all the important questions asked in the previous years along with the marking scheme. 

This year, the CBSE education board has reduced CBSE Class 10 syllabus 30% due to the prevailing COVID-19 situation and loss of physical classes.

CBSE Class 10: Deleted Topics in Social Science

The board has deleted some of the topics due to the non-availability of time to cover the whole syllabus amid pandemic situation. The list of deleted topics is follows:

• Democracy and Diversity
• Caste, Religion and Gender
• Challenges to Democracy

CBSE Class 10: Important Tips for Examination

Students who will be appearing for CBSE 10th board exams are advised to practice the previous year papers to know the format, marking scheme and types of questions asked in the exam.

CBSE Class 10: Social Science Exam Pattern

The CBSE 10th social science paper is divided into 5 sections and are marked as A to E. The detailed pattern and number of questions asked in each section is given below:

CBSE Class 10: Social Science Marking Scheme

The marking scheme will be based on a nine-point grading system corresponding to the range of marks. The nine-point grading system includes grades- A1,A2,B1,B2,C1,C2,D1 nad D2. 

Students are also examined on the basis of 20 marks allotted to internal assessment. Out of this 20 marks., 10 marks are allotted to periodic tests and remaining 10 marks to notebook submission and subject enrichment activities.
