The University of Delhi (DU) has released the academic calendar for postgraduate programmes, with the first semester scheduled to begin from September 1. The classes will be dispersed on December 22 and the theory exams will begin from December 30.
New Delhi: The academic calendar for postgraduate programs in the University of Delhi (DU) has been released for the academic session 2023-24. The first and third semesters of the DU Post Graduate Program will start on September 1, 2023, according to the announced schedule. The classes will conclude on December 22, 2023, with students receiving preparatory leave from December 22 to December 29, 2023.
The University of Delhi has officially notified that the existing academic calendar for postgraduate programs in the academic session 2022-23, as stated in notification no. Acad.1/299/Academic Calendar/761 dated November 25, 2022, for the first and second semesters, has been amended to align with the academic calendar for the academic session 2023-24.

The practical exams will take place concurrently with the theory exams, starting from December 30, 2023, as announced by the university.
In the meantime, the classes for the 2nd and 4th semesters of DU PG programs will commence on January 15, 2024. These semesters will have a mid-semester break scheduled from March 24 to March 31, 2024. The classes will conclude on May 12, 2024, followed by preparatory leave and practical exams from May 12 to May 19, 2024.

The theory exams for the 2nd and 4th semesters are slated for May 20, 2024. Summer vacations for students will be observed from June 2 to July 21, 2024.
According to an official announcement, the University of Delhi (DU) is preparing to start classes for all programs on August 16, 2023. This decision has been made by the university to ensure consistency across semesters.
