Background on the DU BTech Admission Cycle 2026
The BTech admission cycle for 2026 began with three regular CSAS rounds. These were completed across June and July 2026. Spot Round 1 was declared on August 6, 2026.
Vacant seats from those earlier rounds are now offered in Spot Round 2. The mid-entry facility was added on the basis of seat availability. It gives new candidates their first chance to enter the process.
Who Can Apply Through the Mid-Entry Window?
The mid-entry window is meant only for fresh candidates. These are students who did not register during the earlier CSAS rounds. Applicants must hold a valid JEE Main 2026 rank in Paper 1.
The mid-entry option is not allowed for the CW supernumerary quota. It is also not allowed for the ward supernumerary quota. Candidates already registered on the CSAS portal cannot use this window again.
How to Register for the Mid-Entry Window?
Fresh candidates can complete mid-entry registration in a few simple steps. The window closes at 4:59 PM on August 14, 2026. Late applications will not be accepted under any condition.
- Open the CSAS portal at admission.uod.ac.in on any browser.
- Click on the CSAS 2026 mid-entry registration link on the homepage.
- Fill in personal, academic and JEE Main details as required.
- Upload scanned copies of documents in the correct format.
- Pay the registration fee online and submit the final application.
What Documents Are Required During Verification?
Candidates need a set of documents to clear the verification stage. These should be uploaded in the CSAS profile before seat allotment. Missing documents will lead to rejection at faculty approval.
- JEE Main 2026 scorecard and admit card
- Class 10 board marksheet and passing certificate
- Class 12 board marksheet and passing certificate
- Category certificate (SC, ST, OBC-NCL, EWS) if claimed
- PwD certificate if claimed
- Valid photo identity proof and passport-size photograph
How to Accept the Allotted Seat in Spot Round 2?
Candidates who receive a seat must complete each step in order. Skipping the acceptance stage will block the faculty verification. Missing the fee deadline will lead to full cancellation.
- Log in to the CSAS dashboard using registered credentials.
- Check the seat allocation status for the applied programme.
- Click the Accept button before the acceptance window closes.
- Wait for the concerned faculty to verify uploaded documents.
- Pay the admission fee online before the last date.
The seat allotted in this spot round is final. There is no option to upgrade or withdraw the admission later. Candidates should decide carefully before clicking accept.
