DU Cutoff 2020: Special, Sixth, Seventh Cut off Released; Check Consolidated Cutoff List Here

Delhi University (DU) has released the Sixth, Seventh and Special cutoffs. As per the press release, DU has released the special cutoff on November 23, 2020. 

Candidates seeking admission in Delhi University under special cutoff are required to apply from November 24 (10 AM)-November 25 (1 PM). The colleges will approve applications within 5 PM of November 26. Subsequently, candidates can complete fee payments by November 27 (11:59 PM).

Early to this, DU had scheduled to release only five cutoff lists and 1 special cutoff this year. However, as per its November 21st issuance, 2 more cutoffs will be released apart from the set special cutoff.

DU Admission 2020: Schedule for Special, Sixth, Seventh Cut off 

Candidates who haven’t taken admission based on 5th cutoff can apply against DU special cutoff. However, candidates who cancelled their admission against 5th cutoff are not eligible for admission against special cutoff.

Apart from the special round, DU will release two more cutoffs, sixth and seventh on November 28 and December respectively. Under 6th cutoffs, aspirants can report online and even get their documents verified starting from November 30 (10 AM) till December 2 (5 PM).

Similarly, under the DU 7th Cutoff 2020, candidates will be able to report online and verify documents December 7 (10 AM) till December 9 (5 PM). 

Meanwhile, DU released the list of vacant seats after 5th cut-offs were out. Based on this list, the university will offer only merit-based admission to its affiliated colleges. The list includes vacant seats separately for each category and program.

DU Colleges Host Virtual Orientation for New Batch; Disheartens Students 

Colleges affiliated to Delhi University have welcomed the fresh batch of students for the first time through online orientation because of the ongoing COVID 19 Pandemic. Delhi University colleges have shifted their orientation programme to an online mode including new elements that misses the charm of physical orientation. 

The Hindu College was the first among all other DU colleges to conduct an online orientation which was held on November 11, 2020. 

Added to this, DU has planned to conduct online classes for the academic year 2020-2021. By the thought of this, students were disheartened as they would miss out from socializing and living the college life.
