Hindu College a constituent college of Delhi University, is acknowledged as one of the premier Science, Commerce and Arts academic college in the country. Hindu College completes its 122 years of academic excellence in 2021. Initially, HIndu College was affiliated to Punjab University, but at present the College is affiliated with Delhi University. 

Being one of the oldest colleges in Delhi, Hindu College is the top-ranked college in India for its B.Com (H), B.Sc (H) and other UG and PG courses. Admission to Hindu College is merit based for UG courses and Delhi University Cutoff is commonly released for all the affiliating colleges. On the other hand, the applicants have to appear for an entrance exam for PG courses admissions called DUET – conducted by Delhi University only. The following scholarships are offered at Hindu College for its students:

  • Premvati Raghubir Singh Scholarships: Two scholarships awarded every year among resident students who have obtained a I Division in the last examination taken and are in need of financial help.
  • R.B. Ram KishanDass Scholarships: 25 scholarships awarded every year to needy and deserving students of the College provided they have secured at least 55% marks in the last examination taken. Scholarships will usually be tenable for one year.
  • Ch. Bhagwan Sahai Chauhan Memorial Scholarships: One scholarship awarded every year to the student joining M.A. Sanskrit/ Hindi (P). and (F) securing the highest marks amongst those getting the First Division. Ans. Yes, the college provides hostel facilities to both girls and boys. The college comprises of 2 hostels, one boy’s hostel, and another Smt. Indu Punj Girls' Hostel.
