Delhi University has opened registration for its first One-Year PG Programme 2026-27 at pgportal.uod.ac.in. FYUP graduates under UGCF 2022 can apply and pay the fee till July 28, 2026. Admission is merit-based on eight-semester CGPA.
The University of Delhi (DU) has opened admissions for its One-Year Postgraduate (PG) Programmes for the 2026–27 academic session. The registration portal is now live at pgportal.uod.ac.in. Eligible candidates can complete their registration and pay the application fee until July 28, 2026.
The One-Year PG Programme is being introduced by DU for the first time. It is open exclusively to DU students who have completed a Four-Year Undergraduate Programme (FYUP) under the Undergraduate Curriculum Framework (UGCF) 2022. Admission will be conducted strictly on the basis of merit, using candidates’ eight-semester CGPA scores.

Who Is Eligible to Apply?
Only DU FYUP graduates under UGCF 2022 are eligible to apply for the One-Year PG programmes. The candidate’s undergraduate discipline must correspond to the intended MA or MSc subject.
Graduates from the School of Open Learning (SOL) and the Non-Collegiate Women’s Education Board (NCWEB) are also eligible, provided they have completed the required FYUP programme under UGCF 2022.
Candidates belonging to the General, OBC-NCL, and EWS categories must have secured at least 50% aggregate marks in their qualifying undergraduate programme. The minimum eligibility requirement for SC, ST, and PwBD candidates is 45% aggregate marks. An equivalent CGPA score will also be accepted in place of percentage marks.
Programmes Offered and Seat Matrix
DU is offering 34 One-Year PG programmes across nine faculties. These programmes are available in disciplines under faculties such as:
- Arts
- Social Sciences
- Science
- Mathematical Sciences
- Music and Fine Arts
The number of seats available varies from one programme to another. The seat intake generally ranges from 6 to 45 seats per programme, while MA Urdu has the highest intake with 50 seats.

DU One-Year PG Application Fee

The application fee must be paid online through the payment options available on the DU PG admission portal. Applications without successful fee payment may not be considered complete.
DU One-Year PG Admission Phases
The DU One-Year PG admission process for 2026–27 will be completed in three separate phases. Each phase covers a specific step in the admission process.
Phase I: Online Registration
Candidates must register on the official DU PG admission portal and complete the initial application process. This phase is currently open.
Phase II: Programme Selection
Candidates will be allowed to select their preferred PG programme after the declaration of their eighth-semester undergraduate results.
Phase III: Seat Allocation and Admission
DU will prepare the programme-wise merit lists based on candidates’ eight-semester CGPA scores. Seat allocation and final admission will then be completed by the respective departments.

Candidates should keep the following documents scanned and ready before starting the online application:
- Class 10 marksheet and certificate
- Class 12 marksheet and certificate
- Semester-wise marksheets for all eight UG semesters
- FYUP provisional or final degree certificate issued by DU
- SC, ST, OBC-NCL, or EWS category certificate, wherever applicable
- PwBD certificate for candidates applying under the disability quota
- Recent passport-size photograph

- Click on the New User Registration link available on the homepage.
- Enter the required basic details and create the login credentials.
- Log in and provide the required personal, academic, and category details.
- Upload scanned copies of all the required documents.

The University of Delhi will apply its standard reservation policy to admissions under the One-Year PG programmes.
