DU Cutoff 2020 to be Released on October 12, Application Correction Window Opened

Delhi University is likely to release the first cut-off list for DU Admission 2020 on the October 12.  Varsity has opened the Application Correction Window for students to make necessary corrections and update Class12 marks by October 5.


DU Cutoff 2020 will be released on October 12 as the university awaits CBSE to declare results of improvement exams. In the meantime, the university has reopened the application window for applicants to edit or correct information. The correction window will be available from September 12 till October 5. 

Earlier, it was expected that Delhi University will release its first cut-off list in the month of August. However, the varsity extended the deadline for registration to August 31, 2020, due to which the dates have been pushed. Following this, DU had pushed the dates till the second week of September.

With this, Delhi University admission 2020 ​seems considerably delayed and teachers are already speculating the pressures of completing the syllabus with the squeezed academic year. 

Every year, Delhi Univerity releases 8-10 cut off lists for UG admissions to fill more than 62,000 seats across 91 participating colleges. DU 2020 cutoff marks will be provided separately for different categories, colleges, and courses. 

Reports claim principals of college Delhi University colleges are keen to begin admissions from October 12. "The administration asked us to prepare for the admission process as it will be completely online this year.”

The tentative dates for the varsity’s UG admission 2020 have been mentioned below. Candidates are required to take into consideration that these dates are subject to changes.

DU cutoff 2020 to go high with record applications

With a delayed admission process, DU registrations reached a record high when it comes to UG admissions 2020. The university recorded 5.73 lakh applications. It is the highest number of applications received in the past 3 years. Meanwhile, Postgraduate registrations also reached 1,83,674.

Out of this, 34,306 applied for M.Phil and PhD solely. This year, Delhi University also received applications from 2,85,128 CBSE Board candidates. Following which, cutoffs are likely to increase for undergraduate applications. Moreover, the increased number of students scoring above 95% can be the chief reason behind a neck and neck competition at DU Admissions 2020.

Compared to 2019, students with more than 90% increased by 67% while those with 95% of total marks have increased by 118.65%.

DU Reopens Application Correction Window

As of now, Delhi University has reopened the application window for students to make required changes in their form. Students can update their class 12 marks along with other permitted details in the form. However, the university has strictly mentioned that applicants cannot edit information related to registered email ID. mobile number, gender and category of students.

After the UG application correction window is closed, DU will open the application correction window for PG applicants as well. 

DU Admissions 2020: Application Process

The application process of DU will be conducted through online mode and no offline process will be conducted. Only candidates who are eligible and have registered through the official portal of the varsity will be considered for admission.

The last date for DU Admissions 2020 has been passed and soon the university will be releasing the cut-off list for various courses for the academic year 2020.
