DU UG Admission 2023: Over 8,600 Students Offered Seats in Spot Round 1

New Delhi: Delhi University released the allocation list for the 1st spot round of undergraduate admissions on the official university website on September 1, 2023. DU officials shared that a total of 8,627 students were offered seats on this list. 

Candidates allocated seats in DU UG Spot Round 1 Admission 2023 must accept the seats by 5 PM on September 3 and make the payment of the required fee by September 5. DU will check whether they need to conduct another spot round, depending on how many students accept their seats.

Anand Sonkar, Deputy Dean (Admissions) shared that there will be only another spot round if required. He said “This depends on the number of students who accept their seats in this round. If there are no seats left, the admission process will be concluded. And if some seats are remaining, another round will be conducted.”

Delhi University has 71,000 seats for UG admissions. Till the announcement of the third allocation list, 65,900 students have accepted their offered admission seats. After this, the university conducted a spot round for students who were not previously allocated seats. 

As per Delhi University UG Admission 2023 data, after the conclusion of the 3rd round on August 26, the combined allocations offered in Rounds I, II, and III amounted to 1,29,785. Among these allocations, 65,532 have been confirmed admissions. 

Out of the total applicants, 53% are female and 47% are male students. For DU UG admissions, the most sought-after programs include BCom and BA, both of which have recorded the highest number of admissions.
