HP NEET MDS Round 2 Merit List 2026 Released; Check Choice Filling Schedule

The Atal Medical and Research University (AMRU), Himachal Pradesh, has released the Himachal Pradesh National Eligibility cum Entrance Test for Masters of Dental Surgery (HP NEET MDS) Round 2 merit list 2026 on the official website at amruhp.ac.in. Candidates who applied for the second round of state MDS counselling can now check their names in the provisional merit list published by the university.

The merit list has been issued along with the detailed schedule for Round 2 counselling. Eligible candidates must proceed to the choice filling stage, which opens on September 21, 2026. The window closes on September 23, 2026. The provisional seat allocation is scheduled for September 25, 2026.

The final seat allocation for HP NEET MDS Round 2 will be published on September 28, 2026. Selected candidates must report to their allotted dental colleges between September 29 and September 30, 2026. Failure to join within this window will lead to cancellation of the allotted seat.

AMRU is the state counselling authority for MDS admissions in Himachal Pradesh. It conducts admissions to the state quota MDS seats across government and private dental colleges affiliated with the university. How to Check the HP NEET MDS Round 2 Merit List 2026?

Candidates can follow the steps below to view their name and rank in the merit list. The merit list is available as a downloadable PDF on the AMRU official portal.

1. Visit the official AMRU website at amruhp.ac.in.
2. Click on the link titled Merit List of MDS 2nd Round Counselling 2026 to 27.
3. The merit list PDF will open in a new tab.
4. Search for your NEET MDS roll number or name in the document.
5. Note your merit rank and category for the next stage.
6. Download the file and take a printout for future reference.

How to Complete Choice Filling for HP NEET MDS Round 2?

Only candidates who feature in the released merit list are eligible for choice filling. The window is open from September 21 to September 23, 2026. Seats will be allotted strictly on the basis of merit, choices locked, and seat availability.

1. Log in to the AMRU counselling portal using registered credentials.
2. Read the list of participating dental colleges and MDS specialisations.
3. Select preferred colleges, courses, and quotas in order of priority.
4. Rearrange the sequence of choices before locking them.
5. Lock the final choices before the deadline on September 23, 2026.
6. Download the confirmation slip after locking.

Who Can Participate in HP NEET MDS Round 2 Counselling?

Only candidates who submitted a valid online application between September 15 and 17, 2026, are considered for Round 2. Applicants must have qualified NEET MDS 2026 and must meet the domicile or eligibility conditions set by AMRU for state quota seats. Candidates already admitted through Round 1 counselling can also participate for upgradation, subject to counselling rules.
