ICAR Round 2 Seat Allotment Result 2026 Out; Check Last Date to Pay Seat Acceptance Fee

The Indian Council of Agricultural Research (ICAR) has released the Round 2 seat allotment result for the ICAR UG, PG and PhD Counselling 2026 on the official portal at icarcounseling.com. The result went live on August 6, 2026 at 11:00 AM. Candidates allotted a seat in this round must complete the fee payment by August 7, 2026 at 8:00 PM.

Allotted candidates can download their allotment letter by logging into the Applicant Login window using their application number and password. The counselling is being conducted for admission to agricultural and allied science programmes across ICAR-recognised universities.

What Should Allotted Candidates Do Next?

Candidates satisfied with the allotted seat must pay the Seat Acceptance Fee within the deadline. Those who miss the payment window will lose the allotted seat. Universities are conducting online document verification for allotted candidates. Any queries raised by the university must be answered on the portal.

Candidates who need to resubmit documents can do so until 5:00 PM on August 7, 2026. The document resubmission window is only for candidates flagged during verification. Fee payment is possible through net banking, debit card, credit card or UPI.

Choices Available After Round 2 Allotment

Allotted candidates have two main options after paying the Seat Acceptance Fee. They can freeze the seat and exit further rounds, or opt for upgradation in Round 3. Freezing means the candidate accepts the current seat as final.

Opting for upgradation keeps the candidate in the counselling pool. If a better seat is allotted in Round 3, the earlier seat is automatically released. Candidates not allotted a seat can wait for Round 3 or the Mop-Up round.

ICAR Counselling 2026 Round Structure

The ICAR Counselling 2026 is being conducted in four regular rounds followed by a Mop-Up round. Round 1 allotments and fee payments concluded on August 3, 2026. The Round 3 allotment is scheduled for August 10, 2026. The final Mop-Up round begins on August 18, 2026.
