IGNOU Signs MoU with Open University of Kenya for Joint Research, Student Mobility, and New Courses

New Delhi: As per the latest updates, the Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU) has signed an MOU with the Open University of Kenya (OUK) to promote student and faculty mobility, as well as to include cutting-edge technology for teaching and learning.

As a part of this partnership, IGNOU and Open University of Kenya will focus on various initiatives, including curriculum development, sharing expertise in e-learning platforms, and collaborative research and development projects. 

In addition to this, the two institutes will also provide support in policy framework creation, new program development, and sharing of educational resources for educational purposes.

The MoU between OUK and IGNOU was signed by the Principal Secretary for Higher Education and Research, Ministry of Education, Kenya and Professor Nageshwar Rao, IGNOU Vice-Chancellor. Higher Education President William Samoei Ruto, Kenyan President and Prime Minister Narendra Modi were also present on this occasion.

Informing about this MoU, an official statement stated, “This collaboration between IGNOU and Open University of Kenya represents a commitment to advancing education, fostering international cooperation, and creating opportunities for students in developing countries. Both institutions look forward to a fruitful partnership that will pave the way for a brighter future in education and technological advancements”.
