New Delhi: Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Calcutta has recently launched a six-month certificate business management program for defence forces. The program will include both retired and serving officers from Indian Army, Indian Navy and the Indian Air Force.
As per IIM Calcutta, this unique certificate program is designed for the officers of the Indian Armed Forces to offer them with high quality impactful executive education. The course curriculum will cover concepts of management to prepare future-ready professionals.
The inauguration ceremony for the IIM Calcutta Certificate Program 2023 was held in the presence of Major General H Dharamarajan (AVSM, SM, VSM), General Officer Commanding (GoC), HQ Bengal Sub-Area, who addressed the incoming batch as the Chief Guest.
Speaking on this occasion, Program Director Prof. Nandita Roy and Prof. Somdeep Chatterjee encouraged participants to use the core concepts to bring out emerging ideas and adapt dynamic business and economic environments for professional development.
In other news, IIM Calcutta has joined hands with WBCHSE to offer leadership development training to head teachers of state government-run and aided schools in West Bengal. The first batch of the training program was organized on June 12 and June 18, 2023.
The institute is also preparing to organise an MDP Program on Leadership and Teambuilding at its Management Development Centre (MDC), IIMC Campus from July 24 to July 28, 2023. The program aims to help participants develop their leadership and team-building skills.
The IIM Calcutta MDP Program 2023 will be organised for professionals with at least 5 - 7 years of experience. It will cover various topics such as Building Leadership Potential and Skills, Team Building and Leadership effectiveness among others.
