Despite the inconvenience and obstacles that had arisen due to the ongoing Covid-19 pandemic, the Indian Institute of Management Kozhikode (IIM-K), has been successful in completing its PG Admissions for the academic year 2020-202.

Recently, IIM-K issued a release stating that this PGP-2024 batch is among the very socially diverse batches so far.

The release also pointed out that over the years, the institute has also been able to develop a more balanced gender ratio than the earlier batches. With the total count of students being 492, an impressive 52% consists of female students.

This is however not the highest percentage of female students so far. In 2013, the PGP-17 batch had a record-breaking 54.29% female population.

In the PGP-24 batch, 40% of students come from Architecture, Arts & Sciences, Commerce, Management and Medicine and other non-engineering backgrounds.

Along with this, the institute also declared admission of students to two new programs, i.e,  MBA in Liberal Studies & Management and PGP in Finance.

The first-ever batch of the MBA-LSM program also has over 62% female students. Another release from IIM-K said the MBA-LSM programme inaugural batch with 62.5% women students has a balanced ratio of 52:48.
