IIM Kozhikode: 3 New MBA programmes Introduced, First IIM to Offer PGP in Liberal Studies

Indian Institute of Management, Kozhikode inaugurated its four full-time programmes, including the flagship Post Graduate Programme in Management (PGP), on August 6, 2020.

The institute has recently launched the full-time PGP in Liberal Studies program and has become one of the first IIM to do so.

IIM Kozhikode on August 6 inaugurated four MBA programmes including the flagship Post Graduate Programme in Management (PGP). Additionally, the institute launched a full-time MBA programme in Liberal Studies becoming the first IIM to offer the programme.

For the Inaugural programme, Mr Suresh Narayanan, CMD, Nestle India, was the Chief Guest. Later the E-ceremony was presided over by Prof. Debashis Chatterjee, Director IIM Kozhikode.

IIM Kozhikode also inaugurated the Post Graduate Programme in Finance (inaugural batch) and Doctoral Programme in Management (PhD) in the inaugural programme.

During the programme, Prof. Debashis Chatterjee Director of IIMK mentioned that IIM Kozhikode had anticipated the thrust of the multi-disciplinary approach of the New National Education Policy (2020), and the commencement of the two new programmes PGP Finance and PGP-LSM is the hallmark of the Institute’s capability to be ahead of times in the education sector.

The director of the institute also expressed his joy over the Gender Diversity which has been brought back into the national discourse with three of the programmes being inaugurated, including the flagship PGP, recording more than 50% women.

Prof. Deepa Sethi, Chairperson, PGP-LSM, while welcoming the first batch to IIM Kozhikode said that "PGP-LSM is a unique endeavour to develop managers with a holistic perspective, who are emotionally strong, socially responsible and culturally adaptive along with being wise, impactful leaders and diligent team players."
