Indian Institute of Management (IIM), Kozhikode has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) in collaboration with Switzerland based HELP Logistics for providing logistics training and consulting to face challenges in the post COVID era.
The MoU signed by IIMK will be functional from the following year, to shape supply chain activities in a way that avoids man-made disasters.
This partnership of IIM-K with HELP Logistics, a leading non-profit organization which is a subsidiary of Kühne Foundation, Schindellegi, Switzerland will aid in developing humanitarian logistics in India.

Announcing this, Prof Debashis Chatterjee, Director IIM Kozhikode, said “This association will not only expand our network in the calamity-prone vulnerable South Asian regions but will also greatly enhance the capability of stakeholders to effectively provide humanitarian logistics capacity in these unprecedented times.

In its wider effort to make humanitarian organisations and actors efficient, this collaboration will transfer experience and knowledge through advocating the best practices and recent trends in the domain of operations and supply chain management.”
Mr Jason Connolly, Regional Director, HELP Logistics Asia, claimed, "The MoU signifies an important step for both organisations to leverage each other's strengths, knowledge, best practices and expertise in the humanitarian logistics sector.
We hope that this collaboration will benefit both HELP and IIMK to deepen our understanding of supply chain challenges in humanitarian operations.

Training
IIMK along with HELP Logistics will offer high-end learning opportunities and training sessions across all levels of HSC: operational, tactical and strategic, and cover diverse aspects of HSC.
Consulting
QS Globally ranked at 101st position, IIMK with HELP Logistics will develop learning programs, optimisation models and games with regards to Humanitarian Supply Chain (HSC). This will aid HELP Logistics to cater to clients with effective humanitarian operations.
Collaboration and Outreach
IIMK and HELP Logistics will jointly work towards creating knowledge through research projects, surveys and case studies. These will be further presented at seminar, conferences and trade shows for educating the masses.
