The Indian Institutes of Science Education and Research (IISER) have declared the Round 2 result. The IISER Aptitude Test (IAT) 2026 Round 2 seat allotment is now out. The result is live at iiseradmission.in.
Allotted candidates must submit willingness and pay the Seat Acceptance Fee (SAF). Missing the deadline means losing the offer for future rounds. The seat will not carry into Round 3.

IISER IAT 2026 Round 2 Seat Acceptance Fee
The SAF locks the allotted seat in the candidate's name. It varies by category and includes a non-refundable administrative component.

How to Confirm the Allotted Seat and Submit Willingness?
Every allotted candidate must select one of two willingness options. The choice must be locked in before paying the SAF.
- Freeze: Accept the current seat and skip further upgrades.
- Float: Accept the seat but stay open to an upgrade in Round 3.
Freeze candidates are removed from the upgrade queue. Float candidates continue to be considered for higher-preference campuses next round.
Round 2 is a decisive stage in IISER counselling. Float candidates can still climb to a preferred campus in Round 3. Freeze candidates lock their admission at the current campus.
