The winter school participants will get an opportunity to get a summer internship with the faculty of IIT Delhi. They will also get to interact with IIT Delhi alumni and faculty.
New Delhi: Indian Institute of Technology Delhi (IIT Delhi) will be organising a four-day winter school giving insights into various research areas within Theoretical Computer Science. The event will be held at IIT Delhi Campus from December 11-14, 2023.
The winter school to be conducted by IIT Delhi will include talks on a broad range of subjects, such as algorithms, computational social choice, communication complexity, security protocol verification, and more, given by a diverse group of faculty members.
There will also be tutorials, interactive activity sessions, and opportunities for informal discussions with both faculty members and graduate students from IIT Delhi.
The application window for the winter school programme is open. Interested pre-final and final-year undergraduate students and masters students can apply by October 31. Selection for the programme will be based on academic performance and a brief statement of interest, with approximately fifty students to be shortlisted.
In addition, winter school participants will be able to work with faculty members in computer science and engineering during a summer internship. Participants in the internship will get a stipend to help with housing and living expenses while residing in the IIT hostel. The internship is set to take place in the summer of 2024.
