IIT Delhi Research Intern shares his story on X(formerly Twitter) and discloses that online delivery platform Zomato offered a salary package of INR 1.6 Crore for the role of an Algorithms Engineer, but withdrew it later.
New Delhi: The commencement of the placement seasons at various IIT campuses nationwide are about to commence, with students eager to secure opportunities with some of India's leading companies spanning diverse sectors.
However, according to the latest reports, one of the research intern at IIT Delhi, named Hrithik Talwar, shared an incident on his social media account where Zomato extended a job offer with a salary package of INR 1.6 crore for the position of an Algorithms Engineer but subsequently withdrew the offer.
The user also posted a screenshot of the notification he received, conveying the withdrawal of the application, and encouraged fellow students to retract their applications due to Zomato's job withdrawal owing to company constraints.
