IIT Bombay has released the IIT JAM 2026 Round 5 (Additional Round) opening and closing ranks on the official portal jam2026.iitb.ac.in. This marks the final round of seat allocation for MSc and other postgraduate science programmes.
The Indian Institute of Technology Bombay (IIT Bombay) has released the IIT Joint Admission Test for Masters (JAM) 2026 Round 5 opening and closing ranks. Candidates can check the final round cutoff on the official portal at jam2026.iitb.ac.in. Round 5 was the Additional and Final Round of seat allocation for the JAM 2026 admission cycle.
IIT Bombay conducted the Additional Round on July 6 and July 7, 2026. This round closes the JAM 2026 seat allocation process. Offer letters for admitted candidates will be issued from July 9, 2026 through the JOAPS portal.
JAM is the entry route to MSc, Joint MSc-PhD, MSc-PhD Dual Degree, and other postgraduate science programmes at the IITs. It also feeds admission to select programmes at IISc Bengaluru and centrally funded institutes.

IIT JAM 2026 Round 5 Cutoff
The admission cycle ran through five rounds beginning in late May 2026. Round 5 closes all pending seat movement across participating institutes.

- Visit the official JAM 2026 portal at jam2026.iitb.ac.in/ocRank.html.
- Select the desired institute from the Institute dropdown menu.
- Select Round 5 from the Round dropdown menu.
- View the opening and closing ranks displayed on the page.
- Save or print the displayed data for future reference.

What Happens After the Final Round?
Candidates who accepted seats in Round 5 must wait for the offer letter from the admitting institute. The offer letter details reporting instructions, document verification, and academic session start dates.
The withdrawal window under IIT JAM 2026 closed on July 3, 2026. Refunds for eligible withdrawals will be processed by August 15, 2026 after deducting a processing fee of Rs 6,000
Round 5 is the last seat allocation round for JAM 2026. No further rounds will follow this stage. Candidates without a seat in Round 5 will need to explore other admission routes for the 2026-27 session.
