IIT Madras takes a progressive step by inaugurating a holistic career guidance service center, merging placement, internship, and student career development endeavors. This integrated framework also includes the smooth integration of the E-cell.
New Delhi: IIT Madras has established a new career guidance service center within its institute, considering all placement, internship, and student career development activities. In addition, the student-operated Entrepreneurship Cell (E-Cell) of IIT Madras has been seamlessly incorporated into this integrated setup.
Through the establishment of the Career Pathway Centre, the institute aims to create a unified platform offering comprehensive support to students across various career trajectories. According to a statement from IIT Madras, this initiative signifies a pivotal stride in furnishing students with the opportunities, tools, and skill sets essential for success in the ever-evolving professional landscape.
The primary objective of the Career Pathway Centre is to empower students, enabling them to independently navigate and make informed decisions about their career paths.
What is the IITM Career Pathway Centre?
It is designed to provide students with the knowledge, essential skills, and exposure to an entrepreneurial environment consolidating these resources into one facility. The Placement and Internship office within the center facilitates students in establishing connections with companies, facilitating exploration of potential career prospects.
The Career Development Cell provides soft skills training to enhance academic preparedness, while the Entrepreneurship Cell acts as a platform for students to delve into self-employment possibilities. With the introduction of the new center, students will gain access to extensive training, networking prospects, entrepreneurial initiatives, and improved employability.
