Vel Tech University Opens Admissions 2027; Check VTUEEE Phase Dates

Vel Tech Rangarajan Dr. Sagunthala R&D Institute of Science and Technology (Vel Tech University) has opened 2027 admissions. Candidates can apply for undergraduate and postgraduate programmes online. The admission portal is live at application.veltech.edu.in.

Separate forms are available for engineering, arts, science, law, and management streams. Each form has its own eligibility and selection route. The Chennai-based deemed-to-be university follows an entrance test and merit-based model.

Programmes Offered Under UG Admissions

Vel Tech offers B.Tech programmes through three dedicated schools. These are Computing, Electrical and Communication, and Mechanical and Constructions.

Computing branches include CSE, AI and Data Science, and IT. The Electrical and Communication school offers Biomedical and Biotechnology branches. It also runs ECE and EEE programmes.

The Mechanical and Constructions school offers Aeronautical, Civil, and Mechanical Engineering. Non-engineering UG options include BA LLB, B.Com LLB, BBA, and B.Sc. Law programmes use CLAT or LSAT scores for selection.

Vel Tech PG Admission 2027

M.Tech admissions use GATE or VTPGEE scores. MBA aspirants can apply using CAT, MAT, XAT, GMAT, CMAT, or TANCET.

MA and M.Sc admissions are merit-based on qualifying degree marks. The university also offers Ph.D. programmes for Indian and international candidates. DBT-sponsored biotechnology seats are available at the PG level.

VTUEEE 2027 Phase Dates

B.Tech admissions use the Vel Tech Undergraduate Engineering Entrance Examination (VTUEEE). The test runs in four phases from January to April 2027. Candidates can also apply using JEE Main scores.

Who Is Eligible to Apply for B.Tech?

Candidates must have passed Class 10+2 with 45 percent aggregate marks. The marks must come from a recognised board.

Students with over 60 percent in Class 12 PCM may qualify directly. Biology replaces Mathematics for Biotechnology aspirants. Such candidates do not need to appear for an entrance test.

Vel Tech 2027 Application Fee

The B.Tech application fee is Rs 950 and is non-refundable. BBA and B.Sc admissions follow merit from Class 12 marks. Fees for other programmes vary by stream.
