IP University To Hold Final Year Exams; Will Promote Intermediate Semester Students

Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University (GGSIPU) will conduct final semester exams on pen and paper from July 10. However, students of intermediate semesters will be promoted to next semester based on internal assessment.

As stated by the Academic Council of GGSIPU, Intermediate semester students will be promoted based on a composite of marks. 

The marks will be given based on 50% weightage from previous semester marks and 50% weightage on internal assessment of ongoing semester. 

For further information, IP University Grievance Cell is set up for exam-related queries of students. 

Earlier, the varsity had withdrawn IP University tentative exam date sheet receiving widespread protests from students. 

The University is assured of maintaining all social distancing norms during the physical exam that includes wearing masks and enforcing proper sanitization of the exam centre as well.

As per the official notification of IP Universitycarryforwards will be conducted and students will be promoted irrespective of the criteria for the promotion. This is in the case when students have failed in subjects in the previous semester or year. 

In such cases, the students will have to clear such examinations in later times when scheduled. 

Meanwhile, IP University B.Tech and M.Tech (Sem-7)Results have been released. 

As of now, for final semester students of 2020, the physical exams will be of 2 hours duration to be conducted on weekends. Lab exams will be scheduled after theory exams are over and if possible will be conducted online.
