The Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU) has released the BTech Pre-Enrolment Form 2026. The form is now live on the official portal at jnuee.jnu.ac.in. It is meant for candidates allotted BTech seats through Joint Seat Allocation Authority (JoSAA) counselling. They must finish the pre-enrolment steps to secure their JNU seat.

Candidates need to sign in on the JoSAA results portal. They must use their JEE Main Application Number and date of birth. A captcha must also be entered before login. Once inside, students can view fees, upload documents and pay online.

Who Can Fill This Form?

The form is open only for candidates allotted a JNU BTech seat. This includes seats offered through JoSAA 2026 counselling. Central Seat Allocation Board (CSAB) round admits must also use the same portal. Applicants without a JNU allotment cannot log in.

How to Fill the JNU BTech Pre-Enrolment Form 2026?

Open jnuee.jnu.ac.in and click the BTech JoSAA pre-enrolment link. Log in with your JEE Main Application Number and date of birth. Enter the captcha shown on the screen to sign in.

Once inside, download the fee structure and the document list PDFs. Upload scanned copies of the listed documents in the fields provided. Pay the academic fee through the online gateway to finish.

Documents Required for Pre-Enrolment

JNU has posted a separate document list on the portal. Students must keep the following papers ready in scanned form:

• JoSAA seat allotment letter
• JEE Main 2026 scorecard and admit card
• Class 10 mark sheet and passing certificate
• Class 12 mark sheet and passing certificate
• Category certificate, if applicable
• PwD certificate, if applicable
• Passport-size photograph and signature
• Valid photo ID such as Aadhaar

How to Pay the Academic Fee?

Fee payment is accepted through the online gateway on the portal. Students can use net banking, debit card, credit card or UPI. Download the payment receipt right after the transaction. Match the amount with the slab in the fee structure PDF.

Why Is Pre-Enrolment Compulsory?

Pre-enrolment is the university's way to lock provisional seats. It confirms that the candidate wants to join the JNU BTech programme. Fee payment during this stage is treated as seat acceptance. Without this step, JNU cannot process the final admission.

What Happens After Pre-Enrolment?

After pre-enrolment, JNU will verify all uploaded documents online. Selected candidates will get further reporting instructions by email. The final step is physical reporting at the School of Engineering campus. Only students who clear this stage will be enrolled formally.

About the JNU BTech Programme

The School of Engineering at JNU offers two BTech branches. These are Computer Science Engineering (CSE) and Electronics and Communication Engineering (ECE). Admissions to both are based on JEE Main 2026 ranks. Seats are allotted through JoSAA and CSAB counselling rounds only.
