Karnataka to be the First State to Implement National Education Policy 2020: Deputy CM Dr. Narayan

Deputy Chief Minister of Karnataka, Dr. C.N Ashwath Narayan on Monday said that Karnataka is going to be the first state to implement National Education Policy, 2020.

Dr. Narayan made this statement while he was addressing an inaugural session of a 5 day Workshop on “Highlights of NEP 2020and its implementation”, organised by Bangalore University.

During this session, Dr. Narayan said that the State Government is making all the required preparations to implement the NEP 2020 as soon as possible. The Government is also looking ahead with the administrative reforms and amendments to the laws to implement the policy.

He also said that the Karnataka government is moving forward in this regard with specific goals and clear objectives. He also believes that Karnataka will be the first state to implement NEP.

He added, “ After the declaration of the National Education Policy 2020, a high level task force was constituted immediately to look into the matter with high priority. The administrative and the legal steps will be taken as soon as the final recommendations are made.

According to Dr. Narayan, the task force has already made suggestions to implement National Education Policy 2020 in a staged manner.

The New Education Policy looks ahead to create an advanced education system benefiting both students and the teachers to establish a creative environment for creative and practical studies, said Deputy CM Dr. C.N. Narayan.​
