MAH BArch CAP 2026 Provisional Merit List Out; Check Steps to Raise Objections

The Maharashtra State Common Entrance Test Cell (CET Cell) has released the provisional merit list. This covers the Bachelor of Architecture Centralised Admission Process (BArch CAP) 2026. The list is now available at arch2026.mahacet.org.in.

Registered candidates can log in and check their provisional state rank. The grievance window is open until August 3, 2026. Applicants can flag errors in category, marks, gender, or document status.

The CET Cell will publish the final merit list after processing valid grievances. CAP Round 1 choice filling and seat allotment will follow after that. The BArch admission drive covers government, aided, and private colleges in Maharashtra.

How to Check the MAH BArch CAP 2026 Provisional Merit List?

Candidates should download and save their rank slip for reference during counselling.

• Visit the official website at arch2026.mahacet.org.in.
• Click on the candidate login button on the homepage.
• Enter your application number and registered password.
• Open the CAP 2026 provisional merit list section.
• Check your state and All India ranks on screen.
• Download and save the rank slip in PDF form.

How to Raise Objections Against the Provisional Merit List?

The grievance window helps candidates correct errors before the final list is published.

• Log in to the candidate portal at arch2026.mahacet.org.in.
• Open the grievance or objection submission section.
• Select the exact field where the discrepancy exists.
• Upload supporting documents as proof for the correction.
• Submit the grievance before 5 PM on August 3, 2026.
• Save the acknowledgement number generated after successful submission.

The CET Cell will review each grievance and update the merit list. Objections raised after the deadline will not be considered under any condition.

Documents to Keep Ready While Raising a Grievance

Applicants should have soft copies of these documents before starting the objection process.

• Class 10 and Class 12 mark sheets
• NATA or JEE Main Paper 2 scorecard
• Domicile certificate for Maharashtra state candidates
• Caste certificate and caste validity, if applicable
• Non-creamy layer certificate for OBC applicants
• PWD, EWS, or defence category proof, if applicable
• Aadhaar card and a recent passport-size photograph

What Happens After the Final Merit List?

The CET Cell publishes the final merit list once all grievances are settled. Choice filling for CAP Round 1 opens next on the same portal.

Candidates must list their preferred BArch colleges in order of choice. Seat allotment is done using rank, category, and choice priority. Selected students then report to the allotted college for admission confirmation.

Only Council of Architecture approved seats are filled through this CAP process. The state covers government, aided, and unaided private architecture institutes.
