What Are the Options After Allotment?

Candidates who receive their Preference 1 college will have their allotted seat automatically frozen. Candidates allotted a college from Preference 2 onwards can choose between Freeze and Betterment.

  • Freeze: Accept the currently allotted seat as final.
  • Betterment: Retain the current seat while seeking a higher-preference college in subsequent rounds.
  • Not Interested: Reject the allotted seat and exit the CAP process.

Candidates must pay the seat acceptance fee within the prescribed deadline. Failure to complete the payment or report to the allotted college will result in the cancellation of the allotted seat.

How to Report at the Allotted College?

Candidates must report in person to the allotted institute between September 7 and September 10, 2026. They must carry the required original documents along with a set of photocopies.

  • Provisional allotment letter downloaded from the portal.
  • MAH B.Ed CET 2026 scorecard and admit card.
  • Class 10 and Class 12 marksheets and passing certificates.
  • Graduation and postgraduate marksheets, wherever applicable.
  • Caste certificate, non-creamy layer certificate, and EWS certificate, if applicable.
  • Maharashtra domicile certificate and Aadhaar card.
  • Passport-size photographs and seat acceptance fee receipt.
Why This Matters

The reporting window is only four days long. Missing this deadline cancels the seat automatically. Candidates lose their claim on the current college and cannot recover it later. Plan travel and documents in advance.

  1. Log in to bedcap26.mahacet.org and check the Round 1 allotted college.
  2. Decide between Freeze, Betterment, or exiting the process.

  5. Report in person at the allotted college between September 7 and September 10, 2026.
