MAH BHMCT CET CAP 2026 Registration Begins at Official Portal

The State Common Entrance Test Cell (CET Cell), Maharashtra has opened the Centralised Admission Process (CAP) 2026 registration for the Bachelor of Hotel Management and Catering Technology (BHMCT) programme. Qualified candidates can now register on the official portal at dmhmct2026.mahacet.org.in.

CAP is the online merit-based counselling route for BHMCT seats across government, aided and unaided institutes in Maharashtra. It covers registration, document verification, choice filling and seat allotment through a single window.

Only candidates who appeared in MAH BHMCT CET 2026 and hold a valid score can register. The registration process includes online form submission and document upload. Candidates must complete both steps before the deadline to remain eligible for seat allotment.

MAH BHMCT CAP 2026 Registration Fee

The registration fee must be paid online. Debit card, credit card, net banking and UPI are the accepted payment modes.

Who Is Eligible for MAH BHMCT CAP 2026?

A candidate must be an Indian citizen. Open category candidates must have passed the HSC or an equivalent examination with at least 45% aggregate marks.

Candidates belonging to reserved categories, EWS and PwD (Maharashtra domicile) need a minimum of 40% aggregate marks. Students appearing in the final year of the qualifying examination can also apply. A valid MAH BHMCT CET 2026 scorecard is mandatory for CAP allotment.

How to Register for MAH BHMCT CAP 2026?

Follow these steps to complete the registration:

  1. Visit dmhmct2026.mahacet.org.in.
  2. Click on the New Candidate Registration link.
  3. Enter your MAH BHMCT CET 2026 application number and other required details.
  4. Fill in your personal, academic and category details.
  5. Upload the required scanned documents.
  6. Pay the CAP registration fee online.
  7. Submit the application and download the confirmation receipt.

How Will Seat Allotment Work?

The CAP process will be conducted in three rounds. After registration and document verification, the CET Cell will publish a provisional merit list. Candidates will be allowed to raise objections before the final merit list is released.

After the final merit list is published, candidates must fill their preferred colleges and courses. Seats will be allotted based on merit, category and candidate preferences. Selected candidates must accept the allotted seat and report to the assigned institute within the prescribed deadline.

A Unified Test for the Hospitality Stream

From the 2026-27 session, MAH BHMCT CET is part of a single unified exam. It now covers BHMCT along with BBA, BCA, BMS and BBM programmes. The move reduces the number of separate tests for management and hospitality aspirants in Maharashtra.
