    MAH BHMCT CET 2020 exam dates have been revised. The exam will be conducted on July 19, 2020. The exam was previously postponed due to extension in lockdown in the wake of COVID-19 crisis. MAH BHMCT CET is conducted for admission to Bachelor of Hotel Management and Catering Technology programs offered by the government, government-aided and unaided self-financed institutions. State Common Entrance Test Cell, Government of Maharashtra conducts MAH BHMCT CET annually.

    • MAH BHMCT CET 2020 will be conducted in online mode, dates for which will be announced soon.
    • Application process for the exam has been commenced from March 2, 2020.Know more
    • It is necessary for candidates to have passed 10+2 examinations to appear for the exam.

    MAH BHMCT CET 2020 Exam Dates

    The government of Maharashtra will release the official schedule of the exam in the month of February. Aspiring candidates can check the tentative exam dates tabulated below:

    MAH BHMCT CET 2020 Eligibility

    Eligibility for MAH BHMCT CET 2020 differs widely as per the program. However, basic criteria to apply and appear for MAH BHMCT CET 2020 is as mentioned below:

    1. Applicant must be an Indian national.
    2. Candidate must have passed 10+2 with minimum qualifying marks 45%
    3. For SC/ST candidates minimum qualifying marks are from 40%
    4. Candidates who are appearing in the final examination of class 12 or has appeared in this exam but awaiting for result can apply for BHMCT CET 2020

    MAH BHMCT CET 2020 Application Form

    Application Form for MAH BHMCT CET 2020 is available from March 2, 2020, and will end on May 31, 2020, The application form can be obtained through online mode only.

    Before proceeding to fill up application form for MAH BHMCT CET 2020, applicant must arrange soft copies of Passport Size Self Photograph (Dimension -200 x 230 pixels; Size Max 50kb and Minimum 20kb in jpg file format) and Signature (Dimension -140 x 60 pixels; Size Max 20kb and Minimum 10kb in jpg file format).

    Steps for online submission of MAH BHMCT CET 2020 Application Form are as follows:

    • Visit Admission Portal at dtemaharashtra.gov.in
    • Click on the link stating “Click here for New Registration”
    • A Registration Form will open here
    • Enter details like Name, Email Address, Mobile Number, etc.
    • Click on Register Button.
    • Next, you will be redirected to the Payment Gateway. Click on Pay Now
    • Choose any option for Online Payment (Debit Card / Credit Card [RuPay / Visa / MasterCard / Maestro], Net Banking, IMPS, Cash Cards and Mobile Wallet)
    • E-Receipt will be generated here on a successful transaction.
    • Fill Personal Details (Name, Gender, Religion, Mother Tongue, Aadhaar Number, Date of Birth, Region (select from the drop-down menu), Annual Family Income (select income range from drop-down menu, Nationality, Parents’ Name)
    • Address Details (State, Taluka, Village, and District {all these select from drop-down menu}
    • Upload files for Self Photograph, Signature (as per the specification mentioned above)
    • Save and take a review.

    MAH BHMCT CET 2020 Admit Card

    Admit Card for MAH BHMCT CET 2020 will be available soon for the successfully registered candidates. Admit card will not be sent to the candidates via any other channel, it can be downloaded from the official website as given below:

    How to Download Admit Card?

    • Go to the official website- dtemaharashtra.gov.in
    • Look for Admit Card for BHMCT CET 2020 link and click on it
    • Login with Registration Number or Roll Number and Password or Date of Birth
    • Click on Submit Button
    • Admit Card will appear on the screen, check all the details and download it.

    MAH BHMCT CET 2020 Exam Centers

    MAH BHMCT CET 2020 will be conducted in the selected cities in Maharashtra State. There is no option for changing the center/venue/date/session for MAH BHMCT CET 2020, therefore, no request in this concern shall be entertained.

    MAH BHMCT CET 2020 Exam Pattern

    MAH BHMCT CET 2020 is an online Computer Based Test (CBT). Duration of MAH BHMCT CET 2020 will be 90 minutes and there will be 100 objective type questions divided into 3 sections. The exam is of a total of 100 marks; each question carries 1 mark.

    There is a provision of negative marking of 0.25 marks for the wrong answer. MAH BHMCT CET 2020 exam highlights are as follows:

    MAH BHMCT CET 2020 Syllabus

    Syllabus for MAH BHMCT CET 2020 consists of 3 sections. The standard of contents of the syllabus will be as per that of class 10+2.

    MAH BHMCT CET 2020 Syllabus is as follows:

    Section A: General English

    • Comprehension of passage
    • Verbal Reasoning, Syllogisms, Antonyms, Fill in the Blanks, Jumbled paragraphs with 4 or 5 sentences
    • Sentence Correction, Sentence completion, Sentence Correction, odd man out, idioms, one-word substitution, Different usage of same word etc.

    Section B: General Knowledge

    • Current National and International Affairs, Business, Punch line of companies, Top officials of big companies, Major corporate events, Trade and Commerce
    • Famous award and prizes
    • Science, Scientific Inventions, Social Science, Geography, International organizations
    • History, Social issues, Culture, Entertainment, Politics etc.
    • Sports, Finance, Automobiles,
    • Travel and Tourism

    Section C: Reasoning  

    • Critical reasoning, Visual reasoning, Assumption – Premise – Conclusion, Assertion and reasons, Statements and assumptions, identifying valid inferences, identifying Strong arguments and Weak arguments, Statements and Conclusions, Cause and Effect, Identifying Probably true, Probably false, definitely true, definitely false kind of statement, Linear arrangements, Matrix arrangements.
    • Puzzles, Syllogisms, Functions, Family tree – identifying relationship among group of people, Symbol Based problems, Coding and decoding, Sequencing, identifying next number in series, etc.

    MAH BHMCT CET 2020 Result

    The result for MAH BHMCT CET 2020 will be declared on June 4, 2020. The result will be displayed on the official website i.e. dtemaharashtra.gov.in. Before the declaration of result for the MAH BHMCT CET 2020 entrance exam, the answer key of the question paper will be published on the official website of MAH BHMCT CET.

    Intimation for MAH BHMCT CET 2020 Result will be sent to the candidate via email and SMS.

    MAH BHMCT CET 2020 Counselling

    Counselling process will be organized under the centralized admission process (CAP) system. Commissioner of State Common Entrance Test Cell, Maharashtra State conducts CAP. Once the results for MAH BHMCT CET 2020 are out, a merit list is disclosed on the official website.

    From March 2, 2020 an online registration form for admission will be made available. Submit the application form after choosing institutions/colleges. Accordingly, a cut off list will be declared and those who qualify will finally appear for MAH BHMCT CET 2020 Counselling.

    • BHMCT CET 2020 Mark sheet
    • BHMCT CET 2020 Admit Card
    • Print of application form for admission as submitted online
    • Print of Provisional Admission Letter
    • Mark sheets and pass certificate of H.S.C / S.S.C. / Equivalent from the Board of Secondary Education / CBSE / ICSC as the case may be.
    • Character Certificate from the Head of the Institution last attended
    • Migration Certificate from the University / Board of last attended
    • Category certificate like SC / ST / OBC/ PwD, Military ex service man has to be submitted in prescribed formats and should also be attested or issued by competent authority.
    • Physically Handicapped certificate from the competent authority for the respective reserved category
    • Medical Fitness Certificate in prescribed Form issued by competent authority as is instructed in prospectus
    • Residential certificate/Domicile/Bonafide Certificate is required to be submitted if candidate need to be benefitted under Quota for candidate residing natively in State Maharashtra
    • Aadhaar Card / Passport / Driving Licence / Voter Id Proof etc in original form for identity verification purpose
    • 5 passport size photograph as uploaded in application form
    • Self attested Photocopy sets of all above given documents

    In case candidate fails in submitting above mentioned documents during counselling session or within the stipulated time, admission will be cancelled.

    Hi Montu, The Application fee of this exam is INR 800 for General/ candidates outside Maharashtra INR 600 for Reserved category candidates.
