MAH MCA CET 2026 CAP Round 1 Option Form Live at mca2026.mahacet.org.in; Check Last Date to Lock Choices

The State Common Entrance Test Cell (CET Cell), Government of Maharashtra, has opened the Centralised Admission Process (CAP) Round 1 option form for the Maharashtra Common Entrance Test for Master of Computer Applications (MAH MCA CET) 2026. Candidates can now fill their choices on the official portal at mca2026.mahacet.org.in. The option-filling window will remain open until August 1, 2026.

Only candidates who registered for CAP counselling by July 21, 2026, and appear on the final merit list are eligible to fill the option form. The final merit list and the CAP Round 1 seat matrix were released on July 29, 2026, on the same portal. Candidates must save and lock their preferences within the specified window to be considered for seat allotment.

How to Fill the MAH MCA CET 2026 CAP Round 1 Option Form?

Candidates must log in using their CAP application ID and password to access the option form. The portal allows aspirants to add multiple college and course preferences in strict order of choice. Higher-preference options will be considered first during the seat-allotment process.

• Visit the official portal at mca2026.mahacet.org.in.
• Log in using your CAP application ID and password.
• Open the CAP Round 1 option form dashboard.
• Search for participating institutes and add the preferred MCA programmes.
• Arrange the choices in the true order of preference.
• Save the option form and click on the lock option to confirm the choices.
• Download the confirmation page for future reference.

Once locked, the option form cannot be edited. Candidates who fail to lock their form before the August 1, 2026 deadline will not be considered for the CAP Round 1 seat allotment.

MAH MCA CET 2026 Counselling Structure

The MAH MCA CET 2026 admission process is conducted through four CAP rounds. CAP Rounds 1, 2, and 3 are conducted online, while CAP Round 4 is an offline round reserved for Maharashtra state candidates. Rounds 1 and 2 are open to both Maharashtra state and outside-Maharashtra candidates.

Each round begins with a fresh option form window, followed by a provisional seat allotment. Allotted candidates must then confirm, freeze, or upgrade their allotted seat within the prescribed deadline. Reporting for the first three rounds is completed online through the official CAP portal.
