What Happens After Reporting?

Institutes will verify each candidate's documents and eligibility on arrival. Those found eligible will be formally admitted to the allotted course. Candidates who fail to report by August 20, 2026 will forfeit the allotted seat.

Vacant seats after Round 2 will move to the stray vacancy round. Fresh registration is not allowed at this stage. Only candidates already registered in the earlier rounds will be considered.

Why This Matters

The Round 2 schedule was revised after the Delhi High Court allowed fresh registrations. MCC also directed all institutes to treat Saturdays, Sundays, and holidays as working days. The move ensures the compressed reporting window closes on time.

Action Plan for Candidates

  1. Log in at mcc.nic.in and download the Round 2 allotment letter.
  2. Cross-check the allotted college, course, and category before travel.
  3. Arrange original documents and two sets of self-attested copies.
  4. Reach the allotted institute between August 14 and August 20, 2026.
  5. Complete document verification and admission formalities on arrival.
  6. Collect the joining report and admission acknowledgment from the college.
Keep an Eye On

MCC will publish the stray vacancy round schedule and revised seat matrix on mcc.nic.in soon after the Round 2 reporting window closes on August 20, 2026.
