MCC has extended the NEET SS 2025 Round 2 reporting deadline to August 21 2026. Allotted candidates must now report to their designated institutes by the revised date to secure their super speciality seats.
The Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) has extended the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test Super Speciality (NEET SS) 2025 Round 2 reporting deadline. The revised last date to report is now August 21, 2026. The official notice is available on the MCC portal at mcc.nic.in/super-speciality-counselling.
The Round 2 reporting window was earlier scheduled from August 14 to August 20, 2026. Candidates allotted seats in Round 2 must now join their designated institutes by the new deadline. The extension gives one additional day to complete document verification and joining formalities.

How to Report to the Allotted Institute?
Candidates must physically join the institute where their seat has been allotted. Online reporting is not accepted at this stage. The joining must be completed on or before August 21, 2026.
- Download the provisional allotment letter from the MCC portal.
- Carry original documents along with two sets of self-attested photocopies.
- Visit the allotted institute within office hours.
- Complete document verification at the institute.
- Pay the applicable admission fee to secure the seat.

Documents Required at the Time of Reporting
- MCC provisional allotment letter for Round 2
- NEET SS 2025 admit card and result or rank letter
- MBBS and MD or MS or DNB degree certificates
- Internship completion certificate
- Permanent or provisional registration certificate from MCI or NMC or State Medical Council
- Valid photo identity proof such as Aadhaar, PAN, or Passport
- Recent passport-size photographs
- Caste, PwBD, or category certificates if claimed during registration

What Happens If a Candidate Does Not Report by August 21?
A candidate who does not report to the allotted institute by the revised deadline of August 21, 2026 will forfeit the seat. Such candidates will also lose the security deposit as per MCC rules. The forfeited seats will be moved to the next round of counselling.
NEET SS 2025 Counselling Structure
NEET SS counselling is conducted for admission to Doctorate of Medicine (DM) and Master of Chirurgiae (MCh) courses. It covers 50 per cent All India Quota seats in central and deemed universities. MCC conducts the counselling in two rounds followed by a stray vacancy round.
Round 2 is the final regular allotment round in NEET SS counselling. Missing this deadline can cost a candidate their super speciality seat for the full academic session. The one-day extension is a final window for candidates facing travel or document delays.
