How Does the Upgrade Option Work in Round 1?
Allotted candidates can select the upgrade option during physical reporting. This allows them to compete for a more preferred college or MDS course in Round 2. Their current seat remains secure until the Round 2 allotment result is announced.
Round 1 fills the biggest share of MDS seats in Madhya Pradesh. Popular branches like Orthodontics and Oral Surgery often close in Round 1. Missing this window can push aspirants to less preferred courses later.
Action Plan for Candidates
- Open dme.mponline.gov.in and download the allotment PDF.
- Confirm the allotted college, course, and category tag.
- Arrange all originals and one set of photocopies.
- Pay the required fee at the allotted college counter.
- Report in person well before the closing hour.
- Choose the upgrade option if aiming for Round 2.
DME MP is expected to release the Round 2 vacancy list soon. Track the portal for choice filling dates and mop-up round updates.
