The Directorate of Medical Education Madhya Pradesh has extended the MP NEET UG 2026 Round 2 resignation window till October 1 at 6 PM. Candidates must report in person to their admitted colleges to complete the resignation process.
The Directorate of Medical Education (DME), Madhya Pradesh has extended the Madhya Pradesh National Eligibility cum Entrance Test Undergraduate (MP NEET UG) 2026 Round 2 seat resignation window. The revised deadline is now October 1, 2026 at 6 PM.
The extension applies to candidates allotted seats in the second round of state counselling. The resignation facility runs through the official portal at dme.mponline.gov.in.
Candidates who wish to surrender their allotted Round 2 seat must act before the revised cut-off. A financial penalty is charged at the time of resignation. Those who resign lose eligibility for all further counselling rounds.

How to Resign the Allotted MP NEET UG Round 2 Seat?
The resignation process is handled by the admitted college. A candidate cannot complete it online on their own. The steps below explain how the process works.
- Visit the medical college where the Round 2 seat was accepted.
- Submit a written request for resignation to the college office.
- Pay the applicable resignation penalty as per candidate category.
- The college then submits the online resignation on the DME portal.
- Collect the resignation acknowledgement from the college for personal record.
MP NEET UG 2026 Mop Up Round Schedule
The DME has also released the tentative schedule for the Mop Up round. Fresh candidates can register during this window. The full timeline is given below.
