The National Board of Examinations in Medical Sciences (NBEMS) has activated the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test Postgraduate (NEET PG) 2026 registration link on its official portal at natboard.edu.in. The application window opened on July 1, 2026. Eligible MBBS doctors can submit forms until July 21, 2026.
NBEMS conducts NEET PG for admission to postgraduate medical seats across India. The exam feeds into MD, MS, PG Diploma and DNB courses. The computer-based test is scheduled for August 30, 2026. It will be held at 233 test centres nationwide.

NEET PG 2026 Application Fee
The application fee must be paid online during form submission. NBEMS accepts payments through net banking, debit card, credit card, and UPI. The fee is non-refundable once the transaction is complete.

Who Is Eligible to Apply for NEET PG 2026?
Only candidates who meet the medical council conditions can register. NBEMS has listed clear eligibility rules in the information bulletin. Applicants must satisfy all of the following:
- MBBS degree from a recognised medical institution.
- Compulsory rotatory internship of one year completed on or before July 31, 2026.
- Valid permanent or provisional registration issued by the Medical Council of India (MCI) or a State Medical Council (SMC).

NBEMS has issued a fresh advisory with three notable changes. Candidates must read the advisory before starting the form. The main updates are listed below.
- Candidates must now pick a test state, not a specific city.
- Aadhaar-based biometric verification is mandatory on exam day.
- The earlier first-come-first-served city allocation rule stands revised.
- Image upload rules for photograph and signature are stricter this cycle.

How to Apply for NEET PG 2026?
The application process is fully online. Candidates should keep their documents ready before starting. The steps are as follows.
- Visit the official NBEMS portal at natboard.edu.in.
- Click on the NEET PG 2026 registration link on the homepage.
- Complete new user registration with name, email, and mobile number.
- Fill in academic, personal, and communication details in the form.
- Upload scanned photograph, signature, and required certificates.
- Pay the application fee through the online payment gateway.
- Submit the form and download the confirmation page for records.
Candidates will select a test state, not a specific city. NBEMS will then allot the exam centre within the chosen state. This replaces the earlier city-level selection method.
