The National Insurance Academy (NIA), Pune has opened admissions for its Post Graduate Diploma in Management (PGDM) programme for the 2027-29 batch on the official portal at pgdm.niapune.org.in. Eligible candidates can submit online applications up to March 15, 2027. Admission is open across four PGDM streams offered by the institute this cycle.

The flagship PGDM in Insurance and Risk Management carries 180 seats. NIA also offers PGDM in Technology Management with 60 seats. A PGDM for Working Professionals is available with 30 seats. An additional 45 seats are open for International Students through the Study in India portal.

NIA Pune PGDM 2027 Eligibility Criteria

Applicants must hold a graduate degree with at least 50 percent marks. The upper age limit is 28 years for General, EWS, and OBC-NC candidates. It is 30 years for SC, ST, and PWD candidates as on July 1, 2027. The Technology Management stream is open only to B.E., B.Tech., B.C.A., and B.Sc. (Computer Science) graduates.

Accepted Entrance Exam Scores

Candidates must submit a valid score from any one of three national entrance tests. NIA Pune considers CAT 2026, XAT 2027, and CMAT 2027 scorecards for the 2027 admission cycle. Only one valid scorecard is required at the time of application.

The final merit list is prepared using a weighted score across five parameters. The entrance exam score carries the highest weightage at 50 percent. Personal Interview contributes 20 percent, followed by Group Discussion at 15 percent. Past academic record accounts for 10 percent, and work experience holds the remaining 5 percent.
