Who Is Eligible for the NIT Raipur 2nd Spot Round?

Candidates seeking MTech admission must hold a valid GATE score in the relevant discipline. A BTech degree with the minimum aggregate prescribed by the institute is also required. MSc aspirants must meet the qualifying degree norms listed in the parent PG admission brochure of NIT Raipur.

Applicants who took part in earlier CCMT rounds or the first NIT Raipur spot round but did not secure a seat can also apply. Candidates must ensure their category and qualifying documents match the requirements listed in the notification.

How to Register for the NIT Raipur PG 2nd Spot Round 2026?

The registration is done online through the official NIT Raipur website. Candidates must complete the process on or before August 30, 2026.

1. Visit the official website at nitrr.ac.in.
2. Open the admission section and click on the 2nd Spot Round notification.
3. Fill the online registration form with personal, academic and GATE details.
4. Upload scanned copies of the required documents in the prescribed format.
5. Pay the non-refundable registration fee online.
6. Download the confirmation page for future use.

What Should Candidates Carry on the Spot Round Day?

Shortlisted candidates must report at NIT Raipur on August 31, 2026 with all original documents. These include the qualifying degree mark sheets, provisional or degree certificate, GATE scorecard, valid photo identity proof, category certificate where applicable and the registration confirmation slip.

One set of self-attested photocopies must also be carried. The institute allots seats based on merit, category and the availability of vacant seats on the day.
