September 30, 2020: The University Grants Commission has released a "Guidance Document" on it's recently published Good Academic Research Practices that was released on 29, 2020. The research practice provides a general frame for enhancing research integrity and potential threats.
The collaboration of documents with Carivate Web of Science was published by the Principal Scientific Adviser to the Government of Indian Professor Vijay Raghava. The Carviate Web services in one of India's most influential scholarly literature across all disciplines.

In a statement, the UGC Vice-Chancellor Dr Bhuhan Patwardhan said,'"There is a need for improving the standards of academic integrity as well as the quality of research. For this, the document is going to be useful."

UGC Guidance Document for Good Research Practices
The Good Academic Research Practices Guidance Document includes the important concepts of research design, planning, research execution data storage, and documentation.
The document discusses the different ways to check plagiarism, fabrication, falsification, and misrepresentations of the right journal for publication in detail.

Professor Rakesh Bhatnagar, Vice-Chancellor, Banaras Hindu University said, “This document should be made as compulsory reading for PhD scholars before they embark on the program”.
While doing the research of the document, Prof Anand Desai and Assessment Advisor Clarivate stated that the research document will come in handy for all potential researchers and learners.
The general framework provided by the enhancing document provides a deep understanding of how to tackle potential threats and use the good practice of the research document during the research stages.
