UP NEET UG Counselling 2026 Round 2 Registration Begins; Check Last Date to Apply

The Directorate General of Medical Education (DGME), Uttar Pradesh has opened the Round 2 registration for UP NEET UG 2026 counselling. Candidates can register through the official portal at upneet.gov.in. The registration window opened on September 14, 2026, at 5 PM.

The registration window will close on September 17, 2026, at 11 AM. The deadline for fee and security deposit payment is September 17, 2026, at 2 PM. Round 2 will fill state quota MBBS and BDS seats in government and private medical colleges, dental colleges, and medical universities across Uttar Pradesh.

The security deposit varies according to the type of college selected. Government medical and dental colleges require a lower security deposit than private institutions.

How to Register for UP NEET UG 2026 Round 2 Counselling?

Fresh candidates and eligible repeat candidates must complete the registration process online. Follow these steps:

1. Visit the official portal at upneet.gov.in.
2. Click the Round 2 registration link on the homepage.
3. Enter the NEET UG 2026 roll number and other required details.
4. Complete the application form with the correct personal and academic information.
5. Pay the registration fee and applicable security deposit.
6. Submit the form and download the confirmation page.
7. Keep a printout for use during the allotment and reporting process.

Who Can Skip the Security Deposit?

Candidates who deposited the security amount during Round 1 do not need to pay it again if they did not receive a seat. The exemption also applies to candidates who used the Free Exit option in Round 1.

All other eligible candidates must pay the applicable security deposit before September 17, 2026, at 2 PM.

UP NEET UG 2026 Choice Filling and Seat Allotment

The choice-filling and locking window will open on September 17, 2026, at 5 PM and close on September 19, 2026, at 5 PM. Candidates may add any number of college and course preferences.

Candidates must lock their choices before the deadline. Unlocked choices will not be considered for seat allotment. The Round 2 seat allotment result will be released on September 21, 2026.

Action Plan for Candidates

1. Register on upneet.gov.in before September 17 at 11 AM.
2. Pay the fee and security deposit by 2 PM the same day.
3. Check your name on the merit list on September 17.
4. Fill and lock college choices by September 19 at 5 PM.
5. Check the seat allotment result on September 21, 2026.
6. Report to the allotted college between September 22 and 25.
