UPTAC 2026 Revised Counselling Schedule Out at uptac.samarth.edu.in; Check Round 1 Choice Filling Dates

Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam Technical University (AKTU) has released the revised Uttar Pradesh Technical Admission Counselling (UPTAC) 2026 schedule. The updated calendar is available on the official portal at uptac.samarth.edu.in. It covers BTech, Integrated MTech, BDes and several other professional programmes.

The revision moves the Round 1 seat allotment result to July 9, 2026. Choice filling reopens shortly before the allotment result. Fee payment and physical reporting will follow in the same month.

All candidates who registered during the May and June registration window can now log in to the counselling portal. The revised calendar applies to both first-year and lateral entry admissions.

UPTAC 2026 Counselling Round Structure

The UPTAC 2026 counselling process will run in four main rounds. AKTU will also conduct one internal sliding round for seat upgrades. Two special rounds are planned after the completion of the main counselling rounds.

The internal sliding round adjusts allotments for candidates who select the Float option. The special rounds will be conducted to fill vacant seats remaining after the main rounds.

Programmes Covered Under the Revised UPTAC 2026 Schedule

The revised timeline applies to a wide range of undergraduate, postgraduate and lateral entry programmes. Every programme covered under AKTU-affiliated counselling will follow the revised key dates.

• Undergraduate programmes: BTech, BArch, BDes, BPharm, BHMCT, BFAD, BFA, BVoc, BBA, BMS and BCA.
• Postgraduate programmes: MBA, MBA Integrated, MCA, MCA Integrated and MTech Integrated.
• Lateral entry programmes: Second-year admission to BTech, BPharm and MCA.

Seat Acceptance Fee for UPTAC 2026

Candidates must pay a non-refundable seat acceptance fee to confirm the allotted seat. The amount depends on the candidate’s reservation category.

How to Fill Choices for UPTAC 2026 Round 1?

Registered candidates can complete the UPTAC 2026 Round 1 choice-filling process through the official portal. Candidates must save and lock their choices before the Round 1 choice-locking deadline.

• Visit the official UPTAC portal at uptac.samarth.edu.in.
• Log in using the registration ID and password.
• Select preferred college and branch combinations from the available list.
• Arrange the selected choices in the order of preference.
• Save the choices and lock them before the deadline.

How to Choose Between Freeze, Float and Withdrawal?

Candidates will have three options after the Round 1 seat allotment result.

• Freeze: The candidate accepts the allotted seat and exits the remaining counselling rounds.
• Float: The candidate accepts the allotted seat but remains eligible for a seat or branch upgrade in the subsequent rounds.
• Withdrawal: The candidate rejects the allotted seat and exits the UPTAC 2026 counselling process.

Candidates must pay the seat acceptance fee before confirming the Freeze or Float option.

Action Plan for Candidates

1. Log in to uptac.samarth.edu.in and complete pending document verification.
2. Prepare a ranked list of preferred college and branch combinations.
3. Fill and lock choices within the Round 1 window.
4. Download the seat allotment letter after the result is declared.
5. Choose Freeze, Float or Withdrawal and pay the applicable fee.
6. Report at the allotted institute with original documents on the scheduled day.
