What is your experience as an intern at AIIMS Delhi?
The life of an intern at AIIMS Delhi is full of freedom both in terms of study as well as hostel life. It’s up to you to attend the rounds, workup cases, or do no work and just study for your PG. No one will bother you either way. The least you will be expected will be to attend the OPDs and attend rounds. But if you are genuinely interested in learning, they will gladly teach you everything.
You won’t be forced to do any clerical work or get reports/type discharges/ do other work. They let you experience an internship in the true sense of what it is, a phase to learn and not to work.
However, when you are given the charge of certain things you learn to manage and take the lead. It’s then that the work of Doctor resonates in you. The internship experience at AIIMS Delhi leaves you with a lot of new learning msg and your personal growth as a man of opinions and humbleness
Which is better in terms of placements KIIT SRM or UPES?
KIIT, SRM, and UPES are some of the best private colleges in India. Placement statistics change for every college according to year and branch. I am a B.Tech CSE student and therefore, my answer will talk especially about the CSE branch.
In KIIT, around 90% of the students get placed as the placement season starts. Companies mostly require a 6-6.5 CGPA and the cutoffs can go to maximum 7.5 CGPA for some companies. A 6-pointer may end up with a better job than a 9-pointer because of skills. The placement scenario is good.
KIIT is better among the three for placements because it has an E-cell or Entrepreneurship Cell which is not present in the other two colleges. Over there, an internship camp is organized in which the students can get an internship in their field of interest, in different companies.
SRM- In SRM, there is a system of mass recruitment and most students get placed. Mass recruitment companies recruit students in large numbers with an average package of around INR 4.5 LPA. If you study hard, practice coding, are strong in aptitude, database, etc., you can get a package of INR 5-6LPA.
UPES- CSE branch, the placement percentage is around 90%. However, the number of companies that visit UPES is limited. IBM is a big company and offers the maximum placements. Amazon, Wipro, Dell, Flipkart, and others also visit the campus for placements.
Thus, because of its Entrepreneurship Cell and Internship camp, I would suggest that KIIT has the best placements out of the three. However, placements at SRM and UPES are also quite good and the placement figures for all three are at par.

Which one should I prefer, AIIMS Mangalagiri or Gandhi/Osmania Medical College?
Gandhi Medical College and Osmania Medical Colleges are both funded by the state government. The facilities and resources might be limited. Whereas, AIIMS Mangalgiri is recognized as an “Institution of National Importance” and is funded by the Government of India.
AIIMS Mangalagiri has well-experienced faculty who are highly qualified and recognized in their respective fields. JIPMER handles the faculty requirement at AIIMS Mangagalgiri. Although the institution has a temporary campus at Government Siddhartha Medical College, Vijayawada. Now, the campus has shifted to the newly constructed campus. The intake at AIIMS Mangalgiri is 125 seats annually for MBBS. Students willing to seek admission at AIIMS Mangalagiri must secure the required cutoff marks in their respective entrance exams. Despite the admission at AIIMS Mangalagiri being highly competitive, the institute offers admission to PG courses twice a year. As a result, students wanting to pursue higher studies such as MD/MS or DM / M.Ch can apply twice a year through INI CET i.e., INI CET January Session or INI CET July Session.
The fees at AIIMS Mangalgiri are comparatively less than any other medical institute. In regards to academics. Students joining AIIMS Mangalagiri are offered with excellent medical curriculum as per AIIMS standards. The institute also offers various facilities such as a Guest House, Indoor & Outdoor Sports Facilities, Community Halls, Gym, Dining Area, Hostels, Library, Laboratories and VIP Lounges.
Although the AIIMS Mangalagiri campus was recently constructed, students are not deprived of any resources and facilities. Overall, the choice of medical education is dependent on individual preferences. However, AIIMS Mangalagiri is one of the premier institutes and will not disappoint the expectations of the students.
How did you prepare for signal and systems for the GATE?
While there is no set rule for preparing for the signal and systems module of GATE, there are usually two routes or a combination of both that is advised to students. You can either focus on theoretical books and samples like Julius O Smith to study or you can follow online learning tutorials like Edx open software to get clear concepts.
Preparation Tips:

To begin with, students must always have an in-depth understanding of the foundation subjects. This means starting your study module from between will only cause you to have unclear concepts. It is an exceptionally important topic, and hence students must focus on understanding the concept of Impulse Response and Convolution.

Learn the impact of shifting and scaling operations on the waveform to understand continuous and discrete-time signals.

For problem-solving questions, it is important to focus on Properties of transforms, analysis and synthesis equations, and common transform pairs. If you have the time, try to learn about all the properties since it can be asked as a direct question.

The Fourier transform and Laplace transform are two very important concepts that can contribute to higher marks because of its direct approach.

Students must also study the final value and initial value theorem with stability verification.

The idea of stability and causality in Z Transform and Laplace can be very scoring if system properties need to be identified from the pole-zero plot.

Students can also practice drawing two separate types of waveforms keeping sampling frequency and Nyquist frequency in mind. The concepts of Nyquist Rate, Nyquist Frequency, and Band-Pass sampling theorem are all incredibly important.

Signals & Systems has the highest weightage of marks and so it can easily become a high-scoring subject if prepared well. Practicing a large number of problems while understanding core concepts is mandatory to get a score in the subject.

How is the life of an Mtech student in IIT Roorkee?
Usually, people who have completed their bachelor's from Non-IIT colleges join IIT for the MTech program. IIT Roorkee has a very less workload in comparison to other IITs. The M.tech in Computer Science and Engineering can be summarized semester-wise in the following manner
1st Semester
- There are 4 subjects in all
- There are two labs namely, Programming Lab and Project Lab
- Each subject has 3-4 classes while every lab has 1 period weekly.
- You will be allowed to sit for interviews for internships at top companies like Amazon, Google, Microsoft, Flipkart, IBM, Qualcomm, CISCO, and many more.
- Thomso, the much-awaited cultural fest held during October is a very intriguing and exciting event
- There are no TA duties
- The exams are relatively easy and your semester is over once you are done with your exams
2nd Semester
- The second semester has 4 subjects with no labs at all
- You are required to conduct a Literature Review of your semester work and you will be assigned a guide from you department under whom you will be working at least 2 of the courses will have projects as well
- Instead of the cultural fest, you will enjoy a tech fest this year
- No TAs duties are assigned
- The exams are not very competitive and one can easily pass with enough preparation.
3rd Semester
- The 3 semester is the life-changing and shaping semester as you will have to start preparing for summer internships.
- Although the companies visit during Oct-Nov-Dec, the preparation starts well before summer.
- The workload is less as students are allowed to focus more on placements
- The first week of December witnessed 100% placements while some even got PPOs.
4th Semester
- This is the most exciting and thrilling semester as you get to explore new things.
- You are required to complete your thesis
Why does NSIT not advertise its placement stats?
A college does not need advertisements for improving its brand value and worth. A good institute is recognizable by the quality of students and placements it offers. I feel NSUT being a prestigious institute already felt no need to advertise its placement stats and attract an unnecessary crowd. It believes in quality over quantity and thus takes in only the best.
Institutes like DTU have to prove their worth and thus measures like advertising are undertaken. Earlier it was a central university college and now it has become an autonomous state university. Everyone was against this change so the institute deserve to preserve the brand value by publishing high-end advertisements.
So whether a college advertises its placement statistics or not depends on whether the institute needs to attract the public or the brand value is more than enough to attract the students.
What is the cut off for a BA in psychology at Fergusson College in Pune?
According to some of the reviews I gathered online, The cutoff score for a BA in a Psychology course at Fergusson College is usually above 92% in class 12th board examination for grant in aid division and it is above an aggregate score of 85% for non-grant division.
For students who are not domiciled in Maharashtra, the cutoff score for getting admission to BA in Psychology is above 95%.

What is the procedure for pursuing B.Ed from IGNOU?
IGNOU offers a distance B.Ed program with a duration of 3 years. For pursuing B.Ed from IGNOU, the candidates need to meet the following eligibility criteria.

The candidates should have minimum marks of 50% from a bachelor's degree or master’s degree with any stream (science/commerce/arts).

The students who have successfully completed NCTE recognized teacher education courses in an offline mode can also apply.

A diploma or trained in-service teacher is now an additional elementary education required for enrollment into B.Ed program in IGNOU.

There is a 5% relaxation scheme for SC/ST and PWD candidates as per the guidelines of the central government.
