What are some helpful tips for students starting their first year at NSIT?
As a senior student at NSIT Delhi, here are my tips for freshers-
- Maintain a decent attendance, at least fulfill the minimum requirement.
- DO NOT bring chits or electronic calculators to the exam hall. During every exam, there is a visit by the Examination Authorities. If you are caught with any kind of cheating material, you will receive a backlog. You can’t reason with them after being caught.
- Do work in NSUT Delhi fests at least once. The seniors come around asking for volunteers. This is a good opportunity to get acquainted with your seniors and peers.
- Make good connections with your seniors. They will help you with everything, like -Which companies visit the campus for placements, How much percentage to maintain, Which teacher to go to after seeking help, etc.
- Some teachers are known for marking papers randomly, regardless of what you write.
- For a tech job in the IT industry, choose between Development and Competitive coding and get into one of these with seriousness during your second or third year. But if you don’t want expertise in either and simply wish for a job, maintain a good percentage and study algorithms from GFG or wherever you deem fit.
- Join college societies at NSUT Delhi to connect with your seniors.
- For good food options, go to Dwarka Sector-12 Food Court. You can also go to the in-house Mccain and JC.
- Maintain a good percentage. 75%+ will allow you to sit for all the companies during campus placements.
- Do take the hostel even if you are a local student. This will help you during the exam season.
Other than this, I would suggest you make the most out of your time at NSUT Delhi as this is an amazing place.
What are the best things for MNNIT Allahabad students to do on weekends?
There are quite a few things you can do around the campus and outside in the city. You can have a look at them below:
- If you are into studying, you can go to the library on the weekends and enjoy your day. You can also hang out here with your friends.
- You can also hang out at the cafeteria, company garden, or Anand Bhavan and play outdoor games like cricket, football, tennis, volleyball, badminton, table tennis, etc. at MNIT.
- If you plan to go exploring yourself or would like some time alone, you can go to Ganga bridge which is located near Narayani Ashram. You will feel at peace.
- There are also quite a few temples around if you wish to pray. Hanuman Temple, Narayani Ashram, Lord Shiva temple are some of them.
- You can even travel to some places nearby like Varanasi (Sarnath, Kashi Vishwanath Temple), Sitamarhi, Lucknow, Kanpur, and Gorakhpur.
- People who are interested in technology can join clubs and committees that cover various topics like Robotics, Aeromodeling, Coding, and others.
- Many students go to Fun Gaon and to Sangam and Naini for boating. Khusro Bagh and Company Garden are some of the historical places in the area.
- Dosa Plaza is a good dosa place.
Overall, I would urge you to enjoy your college life and make it memorable. These will be the best years of your life.
Which is better, KIIT Bhubaneswar or Manipal University Jaipur?
My brother is currently studying at KIIT Bhubaneswar and my cousin is a pass out of Manipal University, Jaipur. From the experiences shared by both, I have come to one concrete conclusion, KIIT offers a much more vibrant and dynamic campus life. It urges you to develop as a whole and not only in terms of academics. You will feel like a completely whole person when you leave KIIT.
At KIIT, the entire year is filled up with lots of exciting activities and competitions that are both academic and non-academic. KIIT faculties are very approachable and their qualifications are at par with government institutes. Their interactive nature is very charming. If you want to make the most out of this institute then you should have good communication skills and a positive attitude towards studies.

How can I get a CGPA of 10 at NIT Trichy?
Here are a few tips to get a 10 CGPA at NIT Trichy
- Attend classes regularly and make detailed notes that will help you save time later.
- Go through the assignments and last year's papers to get an idea of the questions that might come in the exams.
- Finish the syllabus well before exams and leave enough time for revision.
While all these may help you get a perfect 10, trust me it doesn't guarantee a happy and content college experience. For that, you need to look beyond academics. Participate in Festember or Pragyan, go for IOT, or any other technical projects. Develop your personality as a whole and don’t become a book nerd. Make new friends, go on trips, and create memories. Scoring a 10 will only restrict your growth and you don’t want that to happen!
Which is better, IIT Indore CS, BITS Pilani CS, or IIIT Hyderabad CS?
The CS programs of all these institutes are excellent and considered the best almost at par with CS programs of the top 7 IITs.
- Faculty: The faculty pool of IIIT Hyderabad is better than all the aforementioned institutes followed by BITS and IIT Indore.
- Course and curriculum: The curriculum of IIIT Hyderabad is industry relevant and at par with recent trends. BITS Pilani comes next followed by IIT Indore.
- College life: The quality of college life depends on external factors like location and again IIIT Hyderabad wins the race against BITS located in remote areas. Hyderabad has food eateries and hang-out spots. However, IIIT Hyderabad has a very small campus while BITS has a massive campus. Sort your priorities!
- Coding Culture: The coding culture can be reflected in the quality of companies visiting for placements. One of the top soft to the colony Apple has come only to IIIT Hyderabad again proving its credibility.
- Alumni: BITS has the most extensive alumni network followed by IIIT Hyderabad and IIT Indore which has been established recently.
- ROI: ROI is directly proportional to the fees charged for which IIT takes the lead followed by IIIT Hyderabad and then BITS.
- Placements: IIT Indore has the smallest average package when compared to IIIT Hyderabad and BITS.
In conclusion, IIIT Hyderabad is the best choice followed by BITS. IIT Indore should only be considered if you have financial issues.
How are the placements for Msc maths students in NIT WARANGAL?
The job opportunities of an MSc Maths student at NIT Warangal depend solely on his own inclinations and goals. For instance, if you want to go for an IT job, you might receive some offers. Can anyone tell if I can get a bus to IBS Hyderabad (ICFAI) campus from Secundarabad at 6:30 In the morning? If not, can you suggest some alternative?
Hi, I went to college at CBIT, which is located along the route to your campus. There are no direct buses from Secunderabad to your campus. I can give you the bus numbers and routes you need to take.
You first need to get to Mehidipatnam, which you can do by taking any bus number 5. The buses are located near the front exit of the railway station. When you reach Mehidipatnam on bus number 5, you can find the State Bank ATM by asking around as most people are helpful. Opposite the ATM, there is a bus stop where the Shankarpally buses stop. Take that bus and it will take you directly to your campus.
Please be cautious of two things: it may be difficult to find a ride through Uber or Ola to your campus. Additionally, from 8:30 am to 10:30 am, the buses tend to be overcrowded with students, making it challenging to board.
Is 8.5 CGPA good for IIM?
Most IIMs are strict about the minimum 8 CG criteria with IIM Bangalore being the most rigid. To stay on the safe side, one must maintain an 8.5+CG. However, when combined with other parameters like work experience and gender diversity, even a lower CG of around 8 is considered decent.
So, we can say that an 8.5 CGPA is definitely a good CGPA for IIM.
What is IPM of IIM Indore like and what are the placements available?
IIM Indore IPM is a good course. The curriculum is diversified. Other than the course subjects you can learn programming languages, different foreign languages, performing arts, etc. The course work is rigorous and keeps students on their toes. Students have the freedom to explore different co-curricular and extra-curricular activities. After initial three years of the course, IPM batch is combined with the upcoming PGP branch. All lectures and placements take place collectively.
IIM Indore placements for IPM have been good for the last few years. During the recent placement drive, IPM students received an average CTC of INR 20.79 LPA. The highest CTC (international) offered was INR 82.25 LPA.
