Is NICMAR a good choice for construction management? Why?
NICMAR has existed for more than 30 years and is a pioneer institute in construction management. The curriculum has been specifically designed to cater to the future requirements of construction managers.
The faculty members are exceptionally great in terms of industrial experience. A few subjects might seem easy but they will add great value to your career. However, NICMAR is not under any university but is well-known in India and Middle-Eastern regions. The only advantage is that it is practical-oriented to the students.
If you wish to join any construction management institute, it will be recommended to have atleast 2 years of industrial experience. You will be able to grasp the concepts easily.
How good is production engineering at BIT Mesra?
The Production Engineering department at the Mesra campus, boasts of excellent facilities. A friend of mine recommended BIT Mesra as it is one of the best departments to opt for in BIT Mesra due to the following reasons:
- The infrastructure here is great and boasts of well-equipped workshops and labs for forging, foundry, carpentry, welding, fitting, etc with all sorts of machinery.
- Most of the faculties here are very knowledgeable and will be helpful during your course. They make sure the subjects are understandable and interesting. Some of the topics are obsolete in today's world and you’ll need to update yourself as per current trends. The department organises Seminars and conferences regularly to keep students in trend with the industry.
- The workload is decently comparable when compared to other streams. So, if you can put some effort you can easily shine in the academics’ part.
- Placement wise although this department is not excellent you can try to be in the top 15 students in the batch so that you can grab good opportunities. Some of the top organizations such as Hero Moto Corp, Tata Motors, Maruti Suzuki, NBC Bearings, Vedanta, AVTEC LTD, etc visit the campus for roles related to production engineering.
- Apart from the placement opportunities, many students opt to pursue higher education too. Some of the seniors are pursuing their higher education from top institutes like IIM’s etc.
- To grab better opportunities, it is good to brush some basics related to Mechanical engineering such as SOM, Thermodynamics, I.C Engines, etc. As some of the Mechanical companies allow the students from production engineering for their recruitment process too.

Here are some important points to consider if you are going to choose JIPMER for your MPH:
- INR 12,000 is the course fee for each year and the admission fee is INR 3000. The total fee comes to INR 14,910 for the first year and INR 8,760 for the second year. The fee is quite affordable, especially when compared with other private institutions in India.
- The course duration is 2 years. In the first year, the candidates have to involve in core research- Epidemiology and Biostatistics (quantitative/qualitative),
National Health Programs, and Health Management. The second year includes the advancement of all the first-year subjects. The subject of Health Promotion is also studied in the second year. There is no focus area or specialized study.
- Health Economics is taught superficially, and candidates may encounter problems in its application part
- The faculty of MPH at JIPMER is one of the best in the country and the professors have an in-depth knowledge of their field. The students are guided in every possible way

Which university is better in LLB studies, Lucknow university or Allahabad university?
Allahabad University LLB will be a better option. Being a central university it offers better academics and resources. The Law faculty of Allahabad University is excellent. The environment on campus is competitive and inspires learning. As a student of AU, you will also have a locational advantage, since Allahabad Highcourt is located closer to the campus.
How’s the placements for COE in Thapar University?
COE placements in Thapar University are decent and numerous opportunities are offered to its students. The reality is, the quality of roles and packages also depends largely on the profiles of the students and their skills. Many reputed firms like Microsoft IDE, Amazon, and Maruti visit the campus every year and offer lucrative packages to skilled students. Work Applications, a Japanese company offered a package of INR 30 LPA in the past. Many such offers are made.
Many students resort to off-campus placements and end up with high packages. The reason is that the campus placements do not allow some startups because they aren't sure of their credibility. These startups offer huge packages to students in off-campus placemats.
If you want to get placed as a COE student at Thapar University check the following points

Do PhD candidates in IIT Guwahati get placements?
One of my relatives has done his PhD from IIT Guwahati and he shared his experience of the same. PhD and placements don’t go hand in hand as the goal of most PhD students is to research work and not get employed. IITs and IISc especially have very few job opportunities for Ph.D. students. Very few students around 3-4 from every department complete their Ph.D. every year.
My uncle told me he had 3 offers before submission. In IIT, it usually takes 4–6 months to get thesis review after submission, and an additional month for final defense. A few students get PostDoc and even job offers from foreign universities and companies.
All in all, it takes 5-7 years to get a Ph.D. degree but mostly the placements are satisfactory. My uncle too has become an assistant professor at IIT Guwahati.
Is PEC Chandigarh a government college?
PEC Chandigarh is a Government College. Before it was affiliated with Pune University. In 2003 PEC became deemed university. It is among the most reputed engineering institutes in Panjab. NIRF 2022 ranked it at 87 for engineering. PEC offers B.Tech, M.Tech, and Ph.D. courses under various disciplines.

After a critical analysis of Sona College of Technology, my cousin analyzed the pattern followed by the engineering colleges all over India.
Here is what she has to say about her experience from her time as a student of that college:
- It is a private college and she strongly advises looking for other, better options.
- The faculty is inexperienced and the faculty is not in touch with what they are imparting.
- This college is not the right place for foreign students. The students come through counseling and most of them have never heard about IITs or the AIEEE and/or JEE exams. Their IQ is low.
- The college system is absolutely horrible. They do not care about your interests or goals.
- If you are a foreign student, then go for NITs and/or II(I)Ts. Or you can opt for studying in some country or stay back in your native country.
- Most of the teaching staff as well the non-teaching staff verbally abuses the students and more often than not in public.
Despite the college having a good reputation when it comes to providing opportunities, there are a lot of drawbacks.
The faculty demands to be ‘respected’. Some of the teachers pry into the personal lives of their students and use that against them. The staff uses unfair scrutiny while signing records and attendances. They unfairly judge the students and belittle them thus, denting their self-esteem. Partiality is rampant in this institute. No wonder my acquaintance had such a traumatic experience in college.
How good are hostel facilities in IET DAVV Indore?
The hostel facilities are IET DAVV Indore is decent. There is availability of all basic amenities just like any other hostel. The facilities offered include electricity, wifi, mess, and hostel canteen. Bathrooms are common. Students are given shared accommodations.
The hostel area is under CCTV surveillance. The last entry time for hostellers is 10 pm to 10:30 pm.
