Should I take IIT Gandhinagar CSE or IIT Guwahati ECE??
If you take my opinion then opting for IIT Gandhinagar for CSE is a better choice than going for ECE at IIT Guwahati. I am a student of IIT Gandhinagar and I can say that the CSE department is one of the best departments in terms of curriculums and placements.
- IIT Gandhinagar offers 4 years full-time BTech program for CSE.
- The average course fee for the first year is around INR 2.29 Lakhs.
- IIT Gandhinagar holds a ranking of 18th position out of 200 colleges in the NIRF ranking.
- The placement scenario for the department is good with 94.44% of students being placed in 2023
- The median package is INR 25.06 LPA and the average package is INR 29.29 LPA.
How is the first week at Haldia Institute of Technology?
I have heard about the welcoming culture of Haldia Institute Technology from my friend. His first day of college was quite amazing. It usually included allotment of hostel rooms and introduction with roommates.
During your 1st day at the college, an orientation session will be conducted wherein general information will be shared by seniors and faculty. My friend was assigned a mentor who helped him around the campus and took him to the Department.
After 1st day, a usual schedule will begin at the college. You will have regular lectures in the morning and fun activities in the evening. You might feel a little bored with this routine but you will love the campus.
Which one is better: GNLU, Gandhinagar or NLIU, Bhopal?
This is a question that almost every law school aspirants ask. There is no clear winner in this comparison. Below are some aspects of both the institutes. Based on these you can make a better choice.
- Being established recently, GNLU offers better infrastructure. Both campuses are at a respectable distance from the city. You won’t have any problem communicating. At GNLU, you will have the option to do a running internship as it is located close to GIFT city, a proposed Special Economic Zone (SEZ). Both institutes receive substantial funds from their respective state govt.
- The student crowd at NLUs and GNLU is almost the same. There is only a difference of 2-3 marks in the required cutoff of these NLUs.
- The administration of GNLU is supportive in a lot of ways. But there aren’t many co-curricular activities. The institute even received heavy criticism regarding this.
- The teaching quality at GNLU and NLIU Bhopal is almost the same.
- According to the GNLU placements, students receive an average CTC of INR 15 LPA. It offers more tier 1 placement compared to NLIU Bhopal.
- For NLIU, the median CTC for the BALLB course is INR 14 LPA.
So, both GNLU and NLIU Bhopal will offer you similar opportunities. If you choose one over the other, you won’t miss out on much. While choosing one of these, you should also consider the distance of the institute from your home.

- Enjoy your college life to the fullest because these are the best years of your life. However, don’t compromise on your studies in the process.
- Don’t come with the mindset of Biharis being dangerous or unsafe in any way. In fact, you will feel even safer than in Delhi here.
- Maintain good relationships with your seniors and alumni. The alumni network here is elaborate with some of them being in big firms like IOCL, NTPC, BPCL, BARC, ONGC, Adani, L&T, Reliance, TATA, Google, Adobe, Amazon, Snapdeal, Armed forces, IIMs, etc Maintain a CGPA more than 8 to avail the best placements
- Either join the Student Activities Center ( SAC) or join NCC, if you want to join the armed forces in the future.
- Involve yourself in sports as NIT Patna has excellent sports facilities.
- If you have enough time on your hands, then prepare for competitive exams like GATE, CAT, UPSC, etc.
- Don’t get exploited by some faculty who will use your skills in their own projects
- Don’t park your bike if you are in a hostel.
- The last entry time for hostels is 10 pm so make sure to arrive before the deadline.
- Join Sankalp, wherein you get to teach slum kids. This will add value to your resume and also give you a kind of self-satisfaction.

How is the electrical engineering department at IIT BHU?
Electrical engineering at IIT BHU, it is one of the oldest departments with well-qualified faculties and best alumni base. This department offers B.Tech, M.Tech, and P.hD programs. It offers the program in different specializations such as Power Electronics, Electrical Machines and Drives, Power Systems, Control System Engineering, and others.
EE at IIT (BHU) provides excellent faculties with experience and expertise in the subjects. The department is equipped with various laboratories, a few of these are Control System Lab, Electrical Machines and Drives Lab, Power Systems Lab, Network Lab, High Voltage Lab, and many others. Research is not part of the curriculum at the undergraduate level. Student gets to do projects in the department along with the courses.
The EE department has outstanding placement records over the past years. At IIT BHU students of Electrical Engineering are allowed to sit for interviews in software, core electrical, electronic as well as non-technical companies. The core companies such as PGCIL, IOCL, HPCL, Trident, Reliance, Maruti, etc. visit the campus, especially for EE students. Does IIEST Shibpur provide a good placement for M.Tech?
No, it is more or less the same as a bachelor's. Not just at IIEST Shibpur, the scenario of placements for Masters is more or less the same at every institute in India.
If you pursuing Masters then you should keep your aim straight to get a Company related to your branch or pursuing higher studies (Ph.D.) for the teaching line. B.Tech level hiring is more or less the same in M.Tech at the institute. There are some departments in M.Tech which have a moderate placement. The other departments do not offer good placement opportunities. But at IIEST Shibpur you will get the best learning opportunities.
At last, it is up to you only which field you are choosing. If you want a job then go for it with for B.Tech degree, If you want a purely technical job then go for a master's and if you want an academic line then go for further higher studies i.e. Ph.D. from abroad.
Which one is better: the K.J. Somaiya College of Engineering or the Vivekanand Education Society's Institute of Technology?
While choosing an institute the first thing you need to consider is the distance between the institute and your home. Except for this consideration, the overall rankings of these two colleges are quite close to each other But, if you don’t have any issues with traveling daily or staying in the hostel, then consider the following factors in order to choose the right institute.

University:
- KJSCE is an autonomous institute, but VESIT is under Mumbai University so the former has an upper hand.
- This autonomous identity of Kjsce helps to better design academics. Additionally, it allows the college administration to control the entire exam procedure, which is much better than Mumbai University.
- Besides, the students also get an opportunity to do internships in the reputed MNCs, with a longer vacation. It looks good on the resume.
Sports:
There is no comparison of KJSCE with VESIT, as the previous one has an extraordinary football turf. This institute also has a good badminton court and a running track.
Campus: Except for the campus of IITB, KJSCE probably has the biggest campus in Mumbai.
Both of these are pretty good options so choose according to your convenience.

- There are serious connectivity issues here.
In my opinion, NIT Hamirpur is the perfect place to pursue Architecture given the fact that it's a 5-year rigorous bachelor course that requires a peaceful academic environment. The serene and picturesque ambiance of NIT Hamirpur serves this purpose best!
